Peace and tranquility

I was fortunate enough to stay at the Pansion River and it was great. it is in a good location and has a fantastic view from its balcony and restaurant terrace. It was very quiet when I was there and I think we were the only ones staying there. Its a little tired in places but the charm outweighs this.

It is an authentic and historical place on the river. Erkin, Anita, Muberra and other staffs are very kind and helpful. Beautiful people and beautiful place to visit.

Beautiful location and a short walk from the old town. The room we got was clean and spacious for four. There was a tree growing through the room and the architect planned the room so they can save the ancient tree. The trunk was inside the room with a few green leaves but the canopy was outside giving the room a shade. Nice balcony that opened onto the river with great views. Breakfast was free but limited. I took my family our from breakfast as there were many local places to eat and at a very reasonable price.

What we like the most was the staff. They where friendly, joyful and help us all our stay. Only issue was the WiFi connection, that didn’t work properly

While the Pansion River looks a little rough on the outside, it is a great place to stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They make you feel at home. My room was small, but perfect for what I needed. It was in great condition and very comfortable. I really enjoyed the breakfast. Instead of a buffet, you order off the menu. The location is just a few minute walk from old town Sarajevo. I was able to walk all around the major attractions in the city. I got an incredible value for what I paid.

The hotel is perfectly situated for the old city part of Sarajevo. The receptionist Muby is extremely helpful, and pointed us to things we'd never have found/travelled to otherwise.Some rooms described as having 'no window' are internal with a skylight, but are brand new. Your car is secured over the road. Breakfast will keep you going for hours!

The staff, the proximity to old town and picturesque setting were wonderful. Breakfast was plentiful, yet marginal and the hot water in the shower was sparse.

Riverside ambiance, perfect location, and GREAT staff!

We stayed in room 109 which was renovated in the last 6 months - beautiful bathroom, comfortable bedroom, nice patio overlooking the river. The view is not quite as nice as the pictures suggest as the hotel is primarily oriented down the river toward the old town but with a view of a gas station on the right hand side of the road first and foremost. Still you do see the river and the rooms are situated right on top of it which is a nice feature. The hotel is quiet, sometimes a little too quiet and it can be difficult to find staff to help with check-in or questions. That said, once you do find them, they are excellent - helpful with all questions, accommodating, make you feel like family (and it is a family run place - the father runs the upstairs restaurant and the kids run the hotel). The old town is a short walk away, feels generally safe, so a really good option for the price if you don’t want to stay in the old town itself (e.g. Hotel Europe). Would highly recommend a walking tour and Fall of Yugoslavia tour with Meet Bosnia when you are there. Information is available at the front desk of the hotel. We would stay here again.

Hotel is great by the river and very close to the old town. I would recommend to stay in bigger room as one I had junior single use is too small. The other things need to be improved is WiFi as it is way tooooo slow. It does not connect well or does not work. Other then that everything is great and pleasant. They do have airport pick up and drop off

The winter idyll was amazing in this lovely and warm family run boutique hotel that is perfectly located in Sarajevo old town center. It is surrounded by beautiful nature and mystical river that runs right next to it! We enjoyed our stay here, and loved everything about it, friendly and welcoming staff, good breakfast in the restaurant, comfortable and clean room, terrace above the river with magnificent views, superb location...We will definitely come here again, and we warmly recommend this unique place to everyone who wants to feel Sarajevo spirit!

We ran into some serious issues and Nesh at the hotel was over the top helpful. We will never forget the help he gave us, especially due to the language barrier. If you need anything, he will help you out as his heart is behind everything he does.

We booked with Pansion River and were upgraded to their adjoining hotel, Hotel Bentbasa. Ermin from Pansion River and his cousin Haris from Hotel Bentbasa went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. The room was lovely, and we enjoyed the restaurant right over the river. Old town Sarajevo was a short walk away. I would definitely recommend this place. Thank you Ermin and Haris for a wonderful stay in Sarajevo!
