The place itself needs a lot of upgrades. The place was built early 1900, and they haven’t updated absolutely anything. There’s no air-conditioning. And the fan works after 15 minutes of being plugged in. The place is just run down. Our recommendation to the owner to spend a little bit of money, and change the furniture. Install new flooring, replaced the bed mattress in new bedsheets.

Room was very nice, I would say it was more of an experience instead of just a place to sleep. There is a lot of history in the building, its not the most modern or practical but a very cool stay.

This is a historic building built in 1912 with many very old amenities mixed with a few more modern ones, tastefully integrated with the old. The historic nature of the hotel was an experience in itself. The elevator, I was told, was the first in BC, and had manually closing inner and outer doors. The cables, however, looked much newer and safer. The suite itself was large with separate bedroom, living room and kitchen, also with a bathroom with an ancient deep bathtub on clawed legs and a toilet with an early 20th century tank. The two main rooms had overhead ceiling fans and lights, and the bed was very comfortable. Although there was no coffee provided, there was a complimentary bottle of Okanagan wine. The electrical outlets like most older hotels were few and far between, but they were updated to three-prong plugs. I need one in the bedroom for a CPAP machine, and only found it when I pulled out the bed to access the wall underneath it. The Skytrain was literally right outside the window and the trains were constant. For some people this would be a problem, but it didn't bother me as I grew up around trains. Overall, I very much enjoyed this hotel, but it's not for everybody and certainly not for those wanting very modern amenities.

Very unique property; impossible to compare with typical hotels. It's like staying in a museum or going back in time to my grandma's house. Skytrain is right outside the window, so loud, but also convenient. A fun experience!

Loved the heritage of this 1910 building. Along with a heritage building you have limited modern ammentiies. The service was great- the owner did our check in as we were not able to make it between check in times. Complimentary bottle of wine if that is important to you. Books and VHS's - yes we had VHS 's and a player for entertainment. Location - you are right by the skytrain so you do have noise. You are downtown so there are unhoused. There are progrsms in that area for those that need services during the day. For the most part they are respectful of your presence. Parking stalls could have apartment numbers on them. Patrons need to learn how to park most of the time we could not get into stalls as people were parked on the lines. Street parking is free from 8pm -8am noon on Sundays.

Listed as a 3 star, but it's only 2. Large suite with full kitchen, but no coffee for the coffee maker. Very old building. SkyTrain ran beside our room every 5 minutes until 1:00 am, starting again at 5:30 am. Parking in the back is not secure and surrounded by street people. People outside screaming into the night. All floors squeak. Plumbing works but is ancient, shower is virtually unusable. Sketchy neighborhood. Bed was comfortable, and the bottle of wine was a pleasant surprise.

I was pleasantly surprised what a relic of a building I felt the price was very fair to enjoy going so far back in time The neighborhood is a little rough sad to say but we are all humans and I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family

My husband and I paid for one night as we travelled from Kelowna for a concert. When we returned from our outing the television and lights were on after being turned off before we left. Someone had been in our room while we were away and the managers had no explanation aside from telling us that they routinely turn the lights and tv on in every room. This had not been told to us during check in. Due to our confusion and fright, we left the hotel with our belongings asap. Even more, my husband and I spotted bed bugs on the walls in the bedroom beside our bed. This was a nice addition to the congregation of drug addicts surrounding the parking area behind the building. To conclude, we did not stay in our room and we slept in our truck parked 10 minutes away. We asked for a refund but our request was declined. This hotel experience was absolutely terrifying and will definitely not be returning.

I really loved the idea of this place. It is a restored historical home with charm. The place itself is spacious with seperate bedroom and kitchen. But with that comes no ac and its noisy with train running behind. I looked past the large group of unhoused people who sleep by the parking lot. I looked past all the rats running through the parking lot at night because its not the hotels fault per se. But the dead mouse odor in the kitchen became worse so we kept kitchen door closed. The final straw was when we were awoken to the sound of rattling and nibbling and saw Mice feasting in the middle of night, chewing through a sealed bag on the dining table. Even keeping the lights turned on didnt deter them because they made an appearance again in the early morning hours. Needless to say, im glad we only booked 1 night because we got only 3 hours of sleep max. If it didnt have rodents, it would have been fine. But mice crawling on you, freaks me out, honestly.
