A really nice building i stayed for 3 nights didnot get my bed made or garbage emptied asked for clean towels and a package of coffee last night did not get either. At check out no-one at the desk so just left they key on the counter. Loved the building but not feel the staff were very friendly or welcoming i would not go back!

Very nice heritage hotel, the furnitures and bathrooms need to redone. The building has a weird smell everywhere. It has potential but pretty obvious that it isn’t well maintained.

The hotel is very old. Lots of history. But needs a deep clean

An older hotel, approximately 1920. It appears to be going though an upgrade which is still in progress. Some things are in need of replacing. Some of the exterior is being worked on. The top floors were not open. However the lobby and main stairs show the hotel once proud perigee. No restaurant options were available on site.

Room was clean and furnished with solid furniture. Microwave, fridge and coffee maker, with coffee and tea supplied. Bathroom could do with some renovations but there was toiletries and clean towels. It's an old building and it's a little worn but I think the price reflects this. It definately has history and character! The surrounding area is not the prettiest (old industrial) so the views may not be great from the windows, but again, for these prices is expected. We slept well as the bed was comfortable. It was clean and had everything we needed for a quick layover, and we could have the dog with us (extra charge applies) so we'd stay again.

The hotel is ok but you have to manage your expectations. It’s as clean as an old, poorly maintained, and in need of a refresh hotel can be. Looks like they have not put any money back into the hotel for many years and it shows. Staff were very friendly and would stay there again I was just a little taken aback by how worn out the place is.

Great to stay in a heritage building. It was a pity that the restaurant was closed.

Proprietor was friendly and knowledgeable…..told us about the history. What a piece of the past……. Room was adequate but steeped in history….. a piece of Powell River’s Mill heritage…

Clean but very dated room. Expected for such an old hotel. Great to have a microwave, coffee maker and fridge. Great to have WiFi in the room, although the TV was quite the process to figure out. Easier to just bring a laptop and stream yourself

Charming very old style hotel, lots of antiques and mementos, very nice front desk gentleman. Ocean views unfortunately partly blocked by ugly old factory, maybe just from the rooms in the part where I stayed. Old building but kept in excellent condition. Several pubs and restaurants within a short walk.

The Rodmay Hotel has potential: it is definetely a heritage building and has some beautiful furniture but there is a lot of work to be done. It was clean and quiet but: 1. it took a long time for the hot water to arrive. 2. we couldn't shut the bathroom door. 3. the bathroom sink was very tiny with no counter space 4. the air was a bit stuffy.

Interesting place with lots of nostalgia decor pieces. Very quiet and very comfortable. They accommodated us with adding an extra cot in the room that was in place when we arrived - very efficient!
