Family owned. Hotel looks like a Swiss postcard. Terrific lobby, very nice rooms, diverse continental and cooked breakfast, plus gorgeous garden!

Hotel Romantica was so charming, quaint and comfortable. We had a junior suite that was more than enough room for the two of us. Michelle and Thor were gracious hosts and very accommodating to our needs and also gave wonderful recommendations to explore Zermatt.

This is a one of a kind unique experience. The owner has had the property in the family for generations. Breakfast is amazing. The rooms are modern and clean. It is steps away from the center of town.

We had the most wonderful experience staying at this charming hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The owner go above and beyond to make sure every guest feels at home, and it truly shows in every detail. The room Junior suite was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated, offering both comfort and a touch of local charm. The breakfast was a highlight—fresh, delicious. The location was also perfect, close to local attractions yet peaceful enough for a relaxing getaway. What truly sets this hotel apart is the personal touch. The staff treated us like family, offering great recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed. If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort, authenticity, and outstanding service, this is it. We can’t wait to return!

It's really a family owned and operated B n B, and they are wonderful. Great breakfast every morning and extremely helpful with guidance on Zermatt, from skiing to renting, to dining, to shopping. We can't wait to come back in the summer and stay there again

The hospitality shown by Michelle and Tor is heart warming. You will meet Michelle when you go for breakfast, she owns the place!! Both of them are extremely helpful and give lots of tips about skiing, lifts and so on. Michelle recommended I take a helicopter tour of Matterhorn and that was the best ride of my life. Single person rooms are very compact but very clean and comfortable.They don't have a fridge but tip for those on level 1 - in winter, there is snow outside your patio. Stick those beers and milk cartons in the snow and they will be fine :-) Strongly recommended.

Thoroughly recommend staying at Hotel Romantica. Owners Thor & Michelle were such wonderful hosts and really made us feel comfortable & welcome. Room was very nice, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, and very cozy. Breakfast was outstanding. Location was perfect & easy to walk to restaurants, shops, etc. One of the best hotel stays I have had. If I return to Zermatt I would definitely stay here again.

What a beautiful and charming hotel a block away from the main street in town. Very peaceful and quiet in our room which was a suite w a balcony and views of the surrounding mountains. The bed was very comfortable and the furnishings were lovely. Michelle and Thor were a delight - they helped us w our transport into town, made us a reservation at a local restaurant and helped guide our hiking adventure. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty in a pretty breakfast room. We loved Hotel Romantica and highly recommend a stay there.

Thor and Michele provide a lovely room and filling breakfast. The hotel is central to Zermatt and there are many dining options nearby. Homey environment and a great value for visiting the Matterhorn paradise.

The couple that run this hotel are so sweet and accommodating. Can’t say enough good things about this hotel. Just charming!

Had a great 3 night stay in August, the hotel couldn't be better located, and has a lovely charm with a really cool garden, the owners Thor and Michelle are extremely friendly and welcoming and the breakfast buffet was excellent. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice personable stay in stunning Zermatt.

Honestly could not fault this place. The staff, the rooms, the breakfast, the recommendations on what to do in the town - it was all incredible. Would absolutely recommend anyone to stay here when visiting Zermatt.

Hosts are incredible. Tor and Michelle made us feel very comfortable each and every step of our stay in Zermatt. Very convenient location. Beautiful and clean place to stay. Our room was very nice, clean with a great view from balcony. Breakfast was awesome. I would love to have some more vegetarian option for the hot breakfast (being a vegetarian) but still overall great breakfast and dinning area. Host picked us up and dropped us off at the Zermatt station which was super helpful as we were traveling with a child and 3 big luggage. We felt very comfortable. 10/10. Would highly recommend this place.

We had the best personal service at this beautiful chalet small hotel from owners, Michele and Thor! They greeted and treated us as if we were family! The beautiful flowery entrance is gorgeous. We loved it!

Hotel Romatica couldn't have a more suitable name. It is cozy in every way. The staff is wonderful and seeing the flowers in the garden alone is worth the trip!
