Quaint, clean, very friendly staff and perfect location! We loved this hotel and to top it off they have the best rated restaurant in Punta Arenas, with great views of the city!

This hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious and extremely comfortable with beautiful views and well appointed touches which provided a glimpse into Patagonian culture. The staff went out of their way to be accommodating. We can’t recommend it highly enough.

Quirky boutique hotel with a sense of place and history. Rooms are comfortable and service is super welcoming. The restaurant is surprisingly sophisticated and vegetarian friendly. The best breakfast in Punta Arenas!

I loved everything about this hotel except the fact that it was a little noisy in the room. I could hear everything in the hallways and above me.

Staff was excellent and restaurant was very good. It’s decorated like an old fashioned ranch and staff dress the part too! It was in a convenient place in town in walking distance of main square and activity we were doing.

Lovely old converted building. Lots of wood. Spacious rooms. Very clean and quiet. Super friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. On site restaurant. I had one really good meal and one not so good, but maybe just a bad personal choice. Easy walk into town.

Was very happy with La Yegua Loca. It was a real little gem. Turns out the restaurant is considered one of the best in town so since we were staying there, we could get a reservation the day of! It is a bit quirky in all positive ways / real personality and the location was great for what we wanted to walk to (although we did have a car too-- and I appreciated the parking there which was easy and free). I would highly recommend.

Each room is individually decorated and they are very creative. We had a lovely balcony and very interesting fixtures in El Despacho! The restaurant is lovely and the food excellent. There is nothing quite like dining on fresh seafood while looking at the Straits of Magellan.

While Punta Arenas isn’t a town you’d spend more than a day or two in, having at least two nights at this hotel allows you to enjoy its many amenities. Perched on a hill overlooking the downtown, the hotel entrance is at the end of a rough cobblestone street. Parking can be limited during restaurant hours, but we always found a spot. There are quite a few steps up to the hotel and then a few more up to your rooms, but there is always a young, friendly and energetic staff member to take your luggage to your room. From the moment you step into the courtyard garden and on to the reception room you will notice that this hotel is filled with old-world new -world charm. We stayed in the room called, “Stable” which had a balcony and separate sitting room that overlooked the glass enclosed restaurant and the town below. Creaky floors, modern bathroom, and rustic chic decor put you in the mood for the traditional Chilean meals served in the cozy and popular hotel restaurant. The restaurant staff (wearing traditional clothing) was exceptionally friendly and attentive to boot. Punta Arenas is, arguably more so than Ushuaia, THE town to see penguins. Book a boat tour to Magdalena Island to see Magellanic penguins or better yet take the ferry across to Porvenir to see one of the few king penguin colonies north of the S. Georgian Islands (requires an additional 2 hour drive). Be sure to book these two adventures well in advance though! Then enjoy returning to your charming hotel!
