It was very nice, the common area is very cozy and people there was very friendly. The area does not have restaurants or shops nearby, so it's not so comfortable with rainy and cold days

Would be great to have a towel per person come with bed. Showers in need of repair. No hand soap in the bathroom.

Cool place, but far from everything

Really nice hostel with great ocean views. Cozy and inviting common area and quite nice facility overall. The rooms are quite warm and felt a little like a sauna and the breakfast was just bread and cheese and deli meat essentially but seems to be the common hostel breakfast. Would stay again for sure

We arrived around 1130 at night, but that wasn’t a problem for the host. We had a room with two single beds in a private shower for a very reasonable price.

Despite nice seaside location (though away from city center and amenities), there is so much to be done for taking this place seriously. Claims of few promos (2-3 years ago) make no sense. Immediate efforts needed to spruce up the property and improve responsiveness of staff

Of the three men’s toilets, one was unserviceable and another one couldn’t lock the door. Of the 4 men’s showers all had broken shower heads. Made it very difficult to have a proper shower. The men’s shower and toilets were not swept or mopped so there was a build up of hair on the floors. The dorms, or at least the one I stayed in was not swept once in the 4 days I was there. The common areas were but not the dorms. I’m not sure how they can attain fabulous status level. Breakfast was better than most with a very good selections of food.

Bed was a bit smelly. Even flat sheet was provided, but it’s not bulletproof.

The hostel is very clean with English staff and 15 minutes walk to the down town.
