We had a beautiful stay. The staff were so friendly and kind. The breakfast was stunning, traditional Tunisian. The bedrooms were clean. Within walking distance of la Marsa (10 mins) and sidi bou said (40 mins). 20 minute drive from Tunis - 20 dinah using bolt taxi but a nicer place to stay than centre of Tunis as it was quiet and lovely. Loved the little guide Feriel (owner) did on via QR code. Very handy.

Very charming, family run hotel. Very friendly and helpful owners who always had time to chat or answer questions. Amazing home cooked meals are availabe upon request. They were delicious. Nothing to complain about. I only would like to mention about mosquitos at the courtyard by the pool ( mosquito spray was available) , also TV in my room didnt work ( no signal) . Not sure if it was only my room. Shampoo was missing in the bathroom.

Unfortunately I was only able to visit this beautiful hotel for 4 hours due to a flight delay; however, I made use of it to the max with a great swim in the beautiful forested environment followed by a comfortable bath in my spacious room.

The mother and daughters own and run this boutique hotel-guest house in the middle of La Marsa neighborhood. It is not far from La Marsa beach and more lively neighborhoods, but this property does seem to be an isolated located. For someone from North America, it is too remote to access to anything and anywhere, but I can see it looks like an oasis property if you seek privacy. The owners and staffs are super friendly, but other than the two daughters who speak fluent English, everyone else is French or Arabic only. They put information pamphlets which give extremely useful tips about how to get around. But for those like me who did not do enough planning and homework, it is very difficult to get around and about, given the fact that it is a poor country and tourism services are few and far between. Ideally you only go there if you have relatives or friends who know how to live there. But on top of that, I make grocery store runs every day (15 min walk) to Monoprix and Carre Four, at least to get bottled waters, and limited choices of things you can eat. Not easy to find varieties of food eateries around. Again barebone tourism resources. But the daughter owner was able to call her friend to pick me up from the hotel/guest house at 5:30am and dropped me at the airport for departure. I appreciate that even I need to pay more. Consider if you don’t have a Bolt app and speak French or Arabic, chances are that you won’t be able to go anywhere.

This hotel is a secret gem in the heart of La Marsa. The owner, Raja, was so kind and wonderful too. She made our stay perfect. Will definitely be staying again.

Bespoke rooms each with its own character, pleasant stay and friendly staff. Only issue was the internet connection did not work on any of my devices which attempted to connect to all available hotel wifi connections. Matter was brought to the attention of the staff but not there were not able to immediately resolve the issue.

My stat at Dar Souad was exceptional. The owner of Dar Diuad, Raja, treats you as if you are a family member. Good and drinks is available all day. If you set outside to have your breakfast in the back yard with all these flowers and olive tread, you feel at heaven

Dar Souad is a hidden gem. The property is beautiful and cozy, the rooms are immaculate, quiet and comfortable and with the window shutters, you can keep your room quite dark, should you need to sleep in. The owner Raja, is a wonderful person. She is warm and friendly and very accommodating. She also makes the best coffee and orange cake in Tunis and it's a real treat to enjoy both for breakfast or an afternoon coffee break out in her enchanting courtyard. The staff are also very helpful, though language can be an obstacle to effective communication if you don't speak French. The location, while super convenient if you wish to avoid the bustle of downtown and are eager to enjoy Marsa's restaurant and entertainment scene, is quite hidden and can be hard to find if you're not familiar with the area, so be sure to have a map handy or call ahead and request an airport transfer. I highly recommend Dar Souad and look forward to staying there again on future trips.

nothing short of an oasis of peace... this is how I would describe Dar Souad. My stay there was by far one of the most beautiful hotel/guest house experiences I had ever had. From the moment I arrived, Madam Rajaa (Dar Souad's proprietor) sought to make me feel at home. Indeed, I felt like it was home from home. The property itself is beautifully decorated, providing a charming and relaxing atmosphere. My room was beautifully decorated, with a comfortable bed, a beautiful bathroom (comprising a bathtub and a separate shower room), along with plenty of other amenities. It overlooking the beautiful pool on one side, and a terrace overlooking a mulberry tree and beautiful Tunis rooftops on the other. Having endured a 6.5 hour flight and a bland airline meal, the plate of fresh fruit was a nice -- and much appreciated -- touch. So too the cup of warm coffee and generous slice of delicious cake. Dar Souad is perfectly located within the La Marsa area, which is full of great places to eat, drink and shop. I am very happy with my stay here and would definitely recommend Dar Souad to all discerning visitors who are keen on having a memorable experience.

This is a fantastic boutique hotel with a guesthouse feel. We were welcomed with cake and tea, which we ate in the courtyard around the small pool and mosaic wall fountain. The room was clean and comfortable, though a bit small if you have large luggage to store. Breakfast was delicious, custom made and too much! We could not have enjoyed our visit more and would wholeheartedly recommend it to others. The owner can handle English, French, Arabic and Italian. They weren't able to handle credit cards when we stayed, which could be noted more clearly on the page. They will arrange a driver for you to/from the airport or other locations if you request it.
