We had a very enjoyable stay at the Stone House Hotel, from checking in to checking out the entire staff were so helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were cooked to order which is so much better than having a buffet. The dinners were superb, each night it was difficult to choose. Special mention needs to go to the beef cheek and Yorkshire pudding as a starter. Nice walk into Hawes to visit the Wensleydale Creamery and Dales museum as well as some nice local shops. After walking back up the hill to the hotel then sitting in the garden with a drink and enjoying the views was just so relaxing.

Top drawer hotel in a top location (what a view!) with an exceptional team of staff who all made us feel very welcome. Food is excellent too.

Truly excellent experience. We thought the staff and the service was outstanding. Our room in the coach house was a little outdated, but the rest of the service, food, and hospitality more than made up for this. We'll definitely be staying here again in the future!

From check in to check out the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. In fact, from when you pull into the car park you get the feeling it’s a special place. The building is a beautifully well maintained old building with some rather stunning modern extras. The room we had was spacious and beautifully presented, with a very comfy bed! Spacious bathroom with walk in shower. The bar area, lounge areas, breakfast and dinner room were clean, tidy, and again had that old style feel but with modern features. But the garden was amazingly well kept and that view!! All worth it just for that!! The food was stunning too both breakfast and dinner were perfectly cooked and presented. But by far the shining star of this hotel is the staff and service you receive, faultless.

The Hotel has a lot of character and is in a beautiful location in the Dales. We watched lambs playing in the field as we had breakfast. There are great walks on to the Dales or down to the river from the front door. The staff were very friendly, and we had a lovely restful stay.

This was my third stay since my first visit in 2014 from Canada. Have never forgotten the beauty of the setting and cozy atmosphere. Particularly enjoyed our ground floor room with the conservatory which gives you direct access to the outdoors. The walk across the field to Hawes is always fun. Great staff, food delicious.

Food was delicious, room was great and staff were very friendly. Would definitely stay again.

Very clean. Great food and a decent bar. 7kW EV chargers. Very easy walk to the Green Dragon pub and Hardraw Force after dinner. Low carb options a bit lacking if you’re diabetic or doing a keto diet but that’s normal and I guess demand is low.

The room was fantastic and the staff were brilliant, great fun and very attentive. We had a brilliant stay and could not recommend the place more highly! Thank you.
