It was ok for what I need

A very peacefull guest house. Close enough to the town center. Very clean and more than affordable.

The property was well maintained, the staff were really friendly and helpful.

Friendly welcome on arrival and a trouble free stay. A pleasant 15 minute walk to the town centre through a nearby park.

Room was comfortable, bath was a bit tight and slippery, and mattress was a bit hard, overall a lovely room Brian was very welcoming.

Nice welcome by Brian upon arrival and simple check-in process. Room was comfortable and well presented.

Everything was great, the only small gripe I had was that it took a long time for the hot water to reach temperature for the shower, even using the electric boost option. Host was really helpful and room excellent and spacious for a solo traveller which was much appreciated.

Friendly and clean

Convenient for day trips to London, in a lovely quiet town, within walking distance to the town center shops and rail station. I had a cozy attic room that was cool, clean, and with a lovely view. Comfortable bed. Very friendly and helpful hosts. I recommend this lovely hotel and will return.

We enjoyed the setting on a quiet street, the kindness of the hosts, and the comfortable accommodations. A simple and very adequate buffet breakfast was available for an extra fee, which worked for us. There was the offer of a more elaborate breakfast as well (eggs, etc).Enjoyed a friendly chat w host Brian during breakfast. We could easily return to Cranston House!

Lovely place, warm welcome, and really nice room!

Nice quiet location in a very safe neighborhood. Spotlessly clean in every room. Decent breakfast. All at a very reasonable price.

Very affable gentleman who I assume was owner met me. Enjoyed comfortable and peaceful night. Didn't eat there due to pending medical procedure so can't comment on this aspect. Everything looked clean and I would be happy to stay again. You really need your car as rather remote from town centre and East Grinstead Railway Station so had to use Taxis.

Excellent stay

Room is quite small , but only for me , so I did manage. But as its a loft converted room and bathroom was sooo tiny , one could hardly turn around. I will never book this accommodation again. After my long day work came to check in , but 15 /20 mins I had to ring the bell and wait outside in the cold . No one in reception to pick up the phone either. Never again . Too expensive for the price plus no breakfast included. RIP off

Made to feel very welcome

Brian made us very welcome. Our room was comfortable, spotless and cosy. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

The man that was in reception was so rude ! Telling me my information was wrong iv been using hotel.com for years every week ,no problem made us feel like we should be grateful to be in his hotel, if we knew there was a hotel down the road we would have stated there , it was very cold a stupid blow heater from the 80s , told us when we arrived it would take 30mts for hot water , very dated very cold

Very convenient, it was clean, friendly with an excellent breakfast, with a lot of attention to detail for the comfort of the guests. It was good value for money. Thank you.
