This is a reasonably priced hotel 5 mins walk from the town centre with shops cafes and restaurants. The staff were really lovely and helpful, rooms are basic but have everything you need, the shower was powerful and water always hot, bed really comfy, road a little noisy but you have to expect that with the close proximity to the town, overall a great experience would definitely stay there again

Although the hotel would benefit from some updating it was really clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had breakfast and an evening meal plus bar drinks and it was extremely good value for money. The meals were all home cooked and delicious.

Lovely staff only downside was the room 26 had some damp on the wall near the door wall paper was coming off be wasn’t comfy didn’t sleep much and you got 1 pillow

The breakfast was fresh. The car park felt safe. The room was clean. One comment, the heating was off and the room felt cool but otherwise we were very happy with our overnight stay. Would recommend to others who are looking for accommodation in Newcastle under Lyme.

Room was clean and had a comfy bed. Tea and coffee making facilities provided. Tv in room. Good parking to the rear and a good choice of breakfast. Hotel nice just a little dated. Staff were very friendly and accomodating.

Hotel is looking quite dated now. Bathroom was cramped and difficult getting in and out of the shower. My main issue is breakfast timings. Stayed for business and at check in told breakfast was from 7-9am. On my first day it didn't start until 7.30 and the second arrived at 7.45 and informed that didn't start until 8am. No communication beforehand to the guests. Meant that I had to rush on both days as otherwise would have been late to my jobs. The food was nice and the kitchen staff were helpful but clear that their hours were being reduced to save costs.

Rooms seriously need some TLC. Clean enough, but in my room, radiator valve just spins, bathroom light did not work, towel rail did not heat, bathroom door difficult to open, no shower gel or shampoo, car park lights shining through thin curtains. Chef/s excellent - great evening meal served by great staff. Breakfast was superbly cooked, but the quality of the ingredients were not great.

Dusty and dated hotel. Staff were nice and was reasonably priced. Thin walls and noisey neighbours in the room next door. I wouldnt hurry back.

The room was awful with mould in the bathroom and there was a smell of used cooking fat that permeated throughout the hotel. The staff were fine on reception.

Road traffic noise is terrible and car park flood lights directed at room window like sleeping during the day. Very basic, old room requires refurbishing.
