If you're looking for an easy, flight-free getaway from Singapore, Four Points Bintan is a stellar choice and a massive hit with young families! It’s the kind of place where you stay on-site the whole time, as there isn’t much happening outside the resort. What I loved: The rooms are spacious and cozy, the breakfast buffet is huge, and the local Indonesian food is excellent. Plus, the beach has that perfect, hard-packed sand for walking, and the sunsets are gorgeous. What could be better: The pool is smaller than it looks in photos, and some of the outdoor woodwork is already starting to warp. It’s also missing a quiet, air-conditioned spot if you need to catch up on work or reading. Pro Tip: I paid for an ocean view but ended up with a pool view. If you want a quieter vibe, definitely ask for a room on a higher floor!
