Beautiful property great location. My major issue was with the air-conditioning. There was none. It was a hot day in Amboise and the room was stifling. I opened the window to cool down but got bit by mosquitoes. I spoke to the front staff who said their heating and cooling were an eco-friendly system that didn’t work well on extreme temperature days. Other than that lovely day.

But sure this is close to a 4 star hotel, but it has on site parking - that was nice. The staff was very helpful but hotel is not stocked! We needed extra-pillows …. none. Maybe an extra blanket to use as a pillow - none. The staff brought me into the “stock room”; it was literally empty. The breakfast was pitiful. Really sad.

Enjoyed our brief stay at this charming hotel. The reception staff made a GREAT restaurant recommendation. The room was comfortable, well-designed, nicely decorated.

Room was large and very pleasant. Staff was superbly helpful. Overall an enjoyable stay. In town so easy walk to anywhere. Room does not have any control over heating, and it was very cold. So they had to bring in a portable heater. Shower fluctuates from extremely hot to pure cold for no reason. No extra towels. Parking is extremely tight and hard to negotiate. Can only leave one side of the car accessible.

Hotel has a great location close to restaurants, shops the Loire River, Chateau Royale d'Amboise and Chateau du Clos Luce. On-site parking was convenient. Our room was exceptionally clean and well appointed. Staff was friendly and efficient and most helpful with restaurant recommendations and reservations. I highly recommend La Maison Rabelais.

Excellent location in the center of town. Staff incredibly kind and helpful. Studio room was spacious and quiet with a convenient kitchenette.

Location was great and room was spacious - extra points for a great shower. Breakfast had many options and we enjoyed this every morning. Within walking distance to many of the local attractions and on site parking was a perk also.

Well located in Amboise. We stayed for 3 nights while visiting the Loire. We had a studio so didn’t take the breakfast option. Parking is paid per day. On arrival it took us a little time to locate the road - it’s quite a narrow 1 way street, though that’s not unusual in Amboise! So best to check your route before arrival. We always found a parking space when arriving but it was not peak season - I suspect it might be trickier in high season when the place is full. Plenty of Restaraunts within easy walking. The studio apartment has a basic kitchen - microwave, fridge, kettle and sink - so adequate for organising breakfast. So in summary, good location, adequate parking (though might be tricky in peak season) and the studio apartments are comfortable if somewhat basic.

The staffs are friendly and the location is good, just walk a few minutes to restaurants and bus stop to Castillo de Chenonceau.

Beautiful property. We were upgraded to a studio with a view of the garden and lovely pool. Wonderful and attentive staff at the reception desk. Five minute walk to town center. We enjoyed our stay immensely!
