A gorgeous stay in Barley Cottage. It’s such a cute and well equipped cottage in the most perfect location. The bed was huge and so comfy. Highly recommend.

Lovely room, great staff, excellent food and a wonderful location - the views are stunning. This was our second visit, why wouldn’t you come back, it’s just great. Just wish we lived closer! We will be back next year for our third stay at the exceptional Peacock at Barlow

Lovely hotel in a lovely location. Room was immense. The only problem was a very noisy air conditioning unit that stopped us using it in a heatwave. Would have loved to have stayed longer. Another time. We'll be back

I have stayed at the Peacock a few times now as the location is stunning and the rooms never fail to disappoint. They are clean and the bathrooms always have the wow factor. The food in the restaurant is also great, the only downside was the service, we didn’t get our wine for over half an hour and had to ask three times for it from different staff. However I will be back again!

Stayed in the cottage. It was beautifully decorated and a really comfortable bed. The staff were very friendly and willing to help and the food was amazing.

Beautiful boutique stay in beautiful setting. Was upgraded to Fuggles room. Amazing room and comfy bed. Lovely breakfast.

Kitchen closed early but staff made me a superb sandwich and desert. Breakfast in the morning extremely good and cooked to order.

I'm not usually one to leave a review, but this place was exceptional. Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely room with with no expense spared, the food menu had great options was well priced and very tasty. I would highly recommend this place.

Lovely cottage over the road from the pub. Quaint, clean and pretty. Breakfast great, good quality food Evening meals ok, fish pie a bit dry which was a bit disappointing. Staff lovely, seemed a bit disorganised at times Overall an enjoyable stay

Excellent all round - food is quite pricey, but deservedly so.... you get what you pay for. Staff were great, only a shame I had to be away early and missed what would have probably been an amazing breakfast!

Always a pleasure to stay at The Peacock. We stay in the Sycamore Cottage which is lovely and quaint. Breakfast is spot on. This is our secons time staying here and will definitely come back. Walking route to Linacre Woods and Reservoirs is on your doorstep and a nice 11km round trip.

Cosy comfortable room, lovely bathroom. Staff attentive, gorgeous food on evening meal and breakfast delicious to match. Huge compliments to the chefs and the team!

The room was spotless,comfortable and well equipped. Loved the under floor heating in the bathroom. Sunday dinner was very good and Breakfast was excellent. Will definitely stay here again.
