I stayed in room 7 was perfect and the bed was so comfy. The poriddge and cumbrain breakfast were lovely. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. It is in a great location too. Will be booking again.

We’ve been here twice now (this is our second year) and I don’t really think there’s anywhere else I’d stay. It’s located perfectly between Windermere (for the station) and Bowness and the lake if you want to have a quick nip down. Also well connected to the buses if you want to explore more and didn’t drive down. The staff are incredible - you’re really taken care of well - check in is later, but they’ll gladly keep your bags and take them up to your room if you arrive earlier by train, and equally they’ll keep some of your bags if your train is later than check out. They’re also always super friendly and ready to help you out whenever you need. Breakfast - everything is good. Everything. Is. Good. I usually go for the pancakes or the eggs on the muffins with the salmon, but you can’t go wrong with anything they have. Granted, I haven’t had the vegan breakfast, but if the vegetarian is anything to go by you’ll be happy. Stay here - but leave me a spot, I need to come back again. Deal? Deal.

What an outstanding place , Wee hidden gem .. Big spacious room with plenty of floor space and a decent wardrobe for all your clothes vanity table with stool & mirror , even a table n chairs for our breakfast . Breakfast was the king of kings absolutely fantastic choices on the menu and the staff were a delight so happy having time to chat away , fridge in dining room where you could go and get ice for your drinks even put drinks in it to keep cold .Parking at back of B&B bonus 🌸 I’d 100% stay here again … Well done guys keep up the good work 🎉🎉🎉

Room was beautifully decorated, and very clean. Staff super friendly. Bathroom needed an update with rust in bath and tiles falling off, plus very compact and you couldn't open door fully due to sink behind it.

The perfect place to stay within easy walking distance of bowness and windermere . parking is on site , room very well maintained , you get a good breakfast to start the day off , staff very helpful friendly 100%

We loved our stay, the cleanliness was exceptional and the waitress at breakfast was amazing. Off road parking was a big plus and the location is ideal for both bowness and windermere.

Clean rooms, staff friendly

The stay overall was very good. Limited parking space and can be a little awkward to drive up a small steep drive to park well if there are other cars parked there too in the limited spaces. Main issue for us was that there is no separate bathroom in Room No.8 whic is in the attic.The bathtub is in the room with an attached flx hose shower with no privacy. Apparently this mentioned in the websites,wher this property is advertised, but I didn't pick up on that. No issues at all with cleanliness, and courteous snd friendly staff. Location is conveniently close enough to Ambleside and Windermere.

Brilliant breakfast lovely and freshly made could not fault it . The room we stayed in nice and clean we had a nice peaceful sleep. Parking wasn't a problem plenty of room to park your car. Overall I'd definitely go back again.
