Check in was awful. She couldn't even open front door for us. Didn't know computer and was unable to give us another key. Was 20 minutes waiting but nothing happened Think may be new and badly trained. Bathroom sink wouldn't empty We were tolf to pull the handle th9likg on nscl of tap which we'd dome tried again but no joy. Nobody came to look at it. Cold used water still in bowl in morning. Not nice and no staff cared.

Good location for our needs, evening meals were good, loads of choices and reasonably priced. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful

Lovely room, clean and modern. Easy check in, lovely staff, would stay again.

It was very convenient for Haydock Park races, parking available and a 10 to 15 minute leisurely walk. Staff were friendly and welcoming and managed to have a room ready beforecwe set off for the races.

This hotel provides the best sleep and the best food as well. So affordable, yet so clean comfortable and convenient to go to Liverpool and Anfield.

Clean friendly staff everything I needed with great room service and food

Rooms very good. Pub was very rowdy.

Very tatty looking round the outside of pub , room was comfortable and clean , no plug sockets by the bed for phones to charge . Food In restaurant was atrocious.

Convenient for races and town centre. Good value

Green kings puds are great for a cheap, good quality meal and drink. The fact there is a hotel with nice clean spacious room next door makes it an easy choice. The rooms where clean, with daily house keeping. The only point that could do with improvement was the hall paint work was badly scratched.

When we arrived the staff were friendly and helpful and were like that for our whole stay. Room was clean and tidy A lovely stay!

The staff was great and provided lots of assistance with getting transportation to Liverpool.

Hotel has neen refurbished since our last stay. It was tastful snd clean. Bed was very comfortable

An above average pub hotel. great parking [ van ]. Really nice clean spacious room. good food ,friendly staff. would recommend.

We stay at The Bay Horse Hotel in Wigan We arrived about 15 minutes before you could check-in they were quite friendly but we still can't get in till about 2:30 which by then was over the time that we could've got in it was clean and tidy the only disadvantage is I didn't have any drawers to put your clothes in . No heated towel rail which was a disappointment we had to ask for some more tea as there was only two in the room I went into the hotel there was a funny smell but once we actually got through another door you couldn't smell it. Overall the stay with average.

Good breakfast. Good location. Good pub. Could do with having a fridge in room. House keeping could have been better.

Decent hotel for a quick business stop over.
