Given a room the size of a broom cupboard but main disappointment there was no balcony hated every minute lovely weather but couldn’t sit on a balcony. Bar closed at 4pm then nothing in the hotel had to walk up to the shopping center for a drink.

Close to a lovely beach. Restaurants, shops and transport links all within a few minutes walk. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Comfortable room with balcony with sea view.

Good location near the beach, sunlight on the balcony and a little park. Breakfast adequate, if not inspired. Annoying that the room safe had an extra daily charge. Nice touch that we got a take-with-you breakfast for a 5 am departure.

Nice place to stay as long as you don’t want any hospitality. Not catering for English tourists. Not helpful to give information, unless you break there so called rules around the pool ( no information given on rules ! ) no late checkout No cooperation reference slot for changing facilities. Go home with your bathing gear on .

Nice quiet location, close enough to walk to restaurants and the sea. Lovely staff, clean and tidy accommodation, nice pool area, you can always get a sunbed due to the no holding sunbeds rule which is enforced. No 6am towels on sunbeds crew. Bliss!

The New Folias is in a great location. We had beautiful seaviews from our room. Five minute walk to a lovely sandy beach. Shops and restaurants nearby. Good bus service to other resorts. Hotel staff welcoming and helpful.

Facilities generally good but hotel a little remote from shops and restaurants for those with arthritic knees and of a certain age. Also paving in the local area often loose or raised and a danger of tripping.

Quiet safe place. A bit rundown

The property is in an excellent location, with sandy beaches, scenic coastal walking paths, and many shopping and dining options nearby. If you’re looking for a room with a view, I’d definitely suggest going for a sea view room. You’ll get to enjoy the beautiful ocean view and soak up some sunshine on your balcony all day long. Plus, you can check out the pool area and pick the perfect spot before heading down. The staff was very friendly and helpful with any questions or needs. The housekeeping was excellent as well. There was room for parking if you have a car, but the bus stops are close by and the public transportation is excellent for exploring the main areas along the coast. The hotel is a bit old and could use some sprucing up, but it’s still a great place to stay! I spent a week in Gran Canaria and I have to say, the Hotel New Folias was in the best area I could’ve picked. 😎

The hotel is very fit for purpose. It is close to bus stops and a shopping centre. There are plenty of restaurants and shops to chose from. The staff are friendly and helpful. The pool bar does both food and drink. You can use your card to pay too and there were deals on the cocktails (which are worth a try). We were very surprised by the food portions for the price paid and the quality of food. Bar staff accommodated any varations from the menu, if they could. Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for somewhere to relax, but still explore if you want to. Just be aware, although there is air con in the rooms, there didn't seem to be in other locations of the hotel. There was absolutely no need to reserve sunbeds either, even though some people annoyingly still tried to. We sat by the pool at different times in the day and didn't struggle to find a sunbed.

Really nice hotel with very friendly helpful staff. The pool area is great and the bar staff especially Rita are very good. The only niggle if I have one is that 8.30am is a really late breakfast start so I didn't use it at all and the food in the pool area during the day are very unhealthy and the salad was awful with zero dressing and over cooked eggs but everything else was excellent. I had a great stay there and would go again.

Excellent hotel - clean, safe, well equipped, friendly and polite staff, great value for money, lovely pool area, 6mins walk to pretty beach, kitchenette option very useful, local to 3 small supermarkets. Would happily stay again. Suggestions for improvement: 1. Improve wifi connectivity 2. My door lock was quite stiff to open 3. Shower head not very good.

A lovely chilled week at this hotel lovely staff very helpful young staff on pool bar and around pool lovely helpful and friendly. Room was very clean excellent cleaners nearly every day Aircon excellent, no English channels on TV, breakfast was great also pool bar food excellent huge portions tho so 1 between 2 as lots waste.
