☠️⚠️It is NOT a five-star hotel BY NO means at all. The food at the buffet was always cold and just OK. No top-shelf alcohol in the whole place. 6 ppl from our party had digestional issues for days. Management is irresponsible and does not care about customer complaints or SAFETY My 5 and 8-year-old niece and nephew were let out of the kids" club without anyone from our family signing them out. We found them by the pool alone. Thank god we came back from the beach on time! Not only could they have drowned in the pool, they also could have been abducted. I did speak to the manager the kids"club/entertainment. HE SAID HE will address this and get back to me. I'm still waiting for a response! I also called corporate and waiting for a response from them as well. We had a big family event 70+ people That is why did not leave immediately! This is unacceptable! Go to a place that values you, your vacation needs and your Safety. The staff (workers) were great and did the best they could under terrible management. Shame on you Wyndham!

expedia sucks this hotel sucks you ruined my vacation, didnt even include transportation from the airport to the hotel it costed me 160usd (260Cad) to go there and another 160usd back

The hotel is new & beautiful. The location is secluded there is nothing to do outside the hotel only the excursion that are offered exclusively by the hotel. Food is not good at buffet or snack bar. For the ala cart restaurants you can only reserve 3 days in advance good and bad depending on how many days you are staying I was only able to try the Mediterranean restaurant in a 5 day stay. The staff is very nice & attentive but some times very slow and no the hotel was not packed. Entrainment at all times was great.

There were limited selection of food at both the buffet and snack bar. Very hard to make reservations at restaurants. Some of the staff was not helpful. Very poor and limited liquor selection.

For a new property there should be higher standard amenities. There is no shower door so all the water comes out the shower onto the bathroom floor. There was no trash can in the rooms. The bathrooms in common areas lacked of water in the sinks. Water pressure was very faint. Access to have concierge was none. During check in time there was only one bell boy on site. Front office staff very rudely told us we had to wait. Pools and jacuzzi had no hand rails to hold on to . Staff is what made the experience nice.

I went to Miches Wyndham in May 2025, my Overall experience was good. The resort was a good size, very clean, still fairly new. The food was decent lots of variety.**Be careful what airline you book with as some airlines do not provide a shuttle service and this will end up costing you alot. The hotel does not provide a shuttle. Viva by Wyndham owns alot of the excursions, overpriced and horrible food. We did Saonan Island. Beautiful, Viva owned the boat and made the arrangements. There was a 5$ fee to access the Island that was not included in the 149 USD$ cost per person for the trip. They made so much money the right thing to do is to cover the island fee and serve proper food. They served bland food, cold rice, cold meet, dry pasta salad with no taste. Otherwise it was an ok experience. Relaxing. The shows were amazing. The daily activities were repetitive every single day was the same Animation activity , could use different activities. Some animators didn’t seem like they wanted to do the activities which didn’t help. Pools were nice and big, only critique was there were no ramps by the stairs to enter and exit the pools. Only one walk in and walk out accesible area again without a ramp. I had to help out a senior get out of the pool as they had nothing to support their body weight should they want to get in and out of the pool. Not the safest, even myself since there was no ramp it wasnt always evident that there were stairs inside the pool causing a hazard. 6/10

Property is an hour and half from airport, did not have airport shuttle, so $$ extra money for transportation $ 7200 peso, both ways, ridiculous. Food was repetitive and not very good. Entertainment mediocre. Not a good experience, worst family vacation ever. Not recommend

Staff friendliness

Property is good is new of course the pool and the beach are great but the staff lacks training very bad service and food was bad serve same thing all the time apparently they were not ready for the amount of people at resort no restaurant available according to them. Probably in the future they be ready for better service

The staff on the property were fantastic. They made you feel welcomed and tried to accommodate any need you requested. However, I have dietary allergies and I was very restricted in what I could eat. The app was clear that there was various gluten options. This was not the case once we arrived. I was restricted to the same food for breakfast and only a chocolate chip muffin. They did not have any bread

Mi visita fue por trabajo, no por placer. El wifi es terrible, mala conexión, tarde 40 minutos en enviar un correo de 20 MB. Los restaurantes, muy mala atención, no había quien te asignara mesa, así que, tienes que buscarte la vida. Una vez que encontré mesa, para desayunar, al levantarme para servirme de comer en el buffet, al regresar a mi mesa, me encontré con la sorpresa que ya estaba ocupada (esto paso mas de 2 veces) por lo que es bastante frustrante que no haya buen servicio.Mi primer habitación (si, tuve un cambio de habitación una vez que me queje del ruido) muy ruidosa, esto debido a que estaba situada justo a un lado del lugar de eventos, pase por recepción y les solicite ayuda para que me movieran de ese sitio, me cambiaron a otra habitación, eso si, solicite una habitación con mejor conexión a internet, no lo obtuve, lo que si obtuve fue una pésima habitación con mucho ruido por el tema de aire acondicionado, pero esto ya no podría ser mejorado puesto que, es por el sistema que cuenta el hotel. Muy mala experiencia, acorte mi estancia, y pese a que di aviso un día antes en la recepción del hotel, cobraron toda la estancia. Eso si, gracias a Expedia obtuve el reembolso de esas noches que no utilice. En general, pésima experiencia.

The Resort was nice but lacked many things...see list below 1. Bar/poor quality alcohol 2. No pool service 3. Food was bland and no local heritage to the area. 4. The 4 restaurant at the resort were bad, bad food and none of the rest. had a steak knife....REALLY ?!!!! 5. Same daily activities, songs and d Needs alot of work for me to come again.........most likely I I will not go to any Viva Wyndam hotel chain.

Everyone has their own opinions and expectations. So here are mine. The resort itself was beautiful and clean. The rooms are spacious and clean. Be careful if your feet are wet anywhere whether at pool or room as it becomes very slippery and you may fall. The staff were very friendly and seemed happy to serve you. The only one problem, that it language barrier. They need to learn English. They work very hard for very little so please tip them. The food was adequate. It was never hot and barely warm. Being from United States, I found very little that I like. The restaurants are almost impossible to get a reservation unless you go to guest services and complain. I hate to complain. Even them some from my group weren't all that impressed. I never got in one. The pool was wonderful and their staff were eager to engage you in activities. So to sum it up, we had fun being there with friends, weather was great, beautiful setting but I will not be going back. There is very little to do however I do suggest letting the crew take you sailing and please tip them. Other people may think it's perfect. This is just my opinion. weactivitiesclean

Cons: Property is secluded so you are not bothered by sellers on the beach, clean rooms, small hotel setting so no issues with chairs, no lines for the elevator, no lines for the buffet; Jennifer at front desk is the best and is very helpful! Pros: bartenders need training!!! If you order a drink from multiple bartenders - they would taste different; employees attitude is not the greatest - you could ask for more yoghurt at breakfast and hear “no more.. tomorrow”, supply chain issue - constantly an issue with running out of something: tonic water, vermouth or multiple other things, pillows are horrible and we had to sleep on the folded towel not to have a neck pain; murky water in the ocean - multiple rivers there and water is not blue or see thru at all; only few employees know English so be prepared to explain on your fingers.

It's a hotel with very bad food and drinks. I would never return.

We enjoyed our stay. Pros - new resort, great pool and beach, fun shows each night, friendly staff cons - distance from airport, some things still being worked on, but wasn't a bother to us, smaller compared to other resorts and restaurants had to be reserved at midnight 48 hrs ahead of time.

Nice setting in the area. Good food and clean rooms. Staff in dining area fast with service. Things that could be improved. No tissue in rooms. No wastepaper basket in room just small one in bathroom. I'm covered in insect bites. Don't know if I got them by the ocean or pool area. I few of the people got them that I was with.

We stayed one week in March/2025 and my wife and I had an absolutely amazing time!! On other trips often by the end of the 5th or 6th day we are ready to head home, but honestly we both could have stayed at this resort at least another week. If we didn't have to come home, we would have stayed longer. This resort is VERY well run (managed), the staff are very friendly and seem very happy, the beach is beautiful (you can walk a long way and there are no other resorts using this beach), the main buffet is very very good (lots of choice in all categories of food, and it is all very delicious), and there is another smaller beach buffet that is also delicious and super convenient. In addition to the 2 buffets, there are 4 restaurants - we were able to book into 2 of them (Oriental and Latin) but could not get booked into the other 2 (Atlantis (Seafood) or Mediterranean due to lack of available space)... both the Oriental and Latin restaurants were excellent. Honestly, this resort is excellent - Loved it!
