Stayed 7 nights. Checking in is tricky. I met someone every day at the main entrance stressed out trying to get in the building for the first time - once you figure it out it’s fine. But getting in the front door is the hardest part. Everyone is helpful that’s staying there because they’ve been through it. Just ask anyone you see for help. I would have liked our stay better had we not been on the first floor right next to where everyone smokes and had a better view than the alley with graffiti and trash cans. I had no idea Norway was so addicted to cigarettes. I haven’t seen people smoking this much since the 90s. Our windows didn’t open being on the first floor and we had to keep the door open for any airflow - which brought in the smoke smell. You can’t pick your room and they will not move you. The room was nice still and I loved having a kitchen to cook all the fresh fish we got at the market. But, if you are a plus sized person you will find the room difficult to move around. I don’t mind being on the first floor, but I do mind it’s priced the same as all upper floors when you can’t open windows or change the temperature more than 3 degrees up or down.

The location is supreme for getting around the city. You are one block away from the harbor and no more than 15 minutes. Walk from any of the main attractions. Even the bus terminal where many of the excursions pick up from is a five minute walk. The accommodations are very clean and modern. I really did. Enjoy my stay here. Be prepared to purchase your own food, which can be helpful in saving money because Norway is quite expensive. There is a grocery store, not even five minutes walk from the location. my only complaint is that there is no water, pitcher or napkins. If you aren’t going to make coffee, you can use the coffee pot to hold water, but be prepared to purchase napkins.

Everything was fine except for the check in process. Many people checking in we're confused and needed help. Once the technology was figured out, everything went well. Room was very clean and well equipped.

Everything is done via the app, check-in, key on phone, check out. Room is clean. The key situation is absolutely dreadful. Useless is about what I can say. Rarely works and have to constantly keep restarting phone for the key to work. Not helpful at all. Pillows are so flat and uncomfortable. Towels are tiny and not the best. Shower is not bad at all. Cooking utensils everything you need for a studio room no problems at all. Apartment is close to everything you need, site seeing, tour start points,. supermarkets, restaurants.

The check in process is pretty bad if anything has gone wrong with your booking - similar to using a dodgy third party website to book a flight, everything is probably going to be fine if you’re lucky. We arrived however our phone number had not been registered with the system so we were left standing outside with no staff in sight. A sign on the door gives an email address (which didn’t respond until 6 HOURS later) and a Norwegian phone number which is not available on WhatsApp (who decides to set up chain accommodation across Norway and thinks it is okay to be uncontactable by anybody outside of Norway?¿?). I tried to contact the number using a hotel phone and nobody answered. We luckily had a staff member wander past us and after 2 hours managed to check in. We booked this through Expedia and the card details had to be updated since it had expired, so even though these had been updated 3 days before our stay, Vander had failed to make any further attempts to accept payment even though Expedia sent an email confirming the accommodation was booked. I later found some emails in my Gmail account from Vander which had gone to my spam. Check your spam if you’re going to book this, and try to check in early because the last staff member leaves at 5pm. Otherwise, the property was lovely. The location isn’t perfect and parking was somewhat difficult/expensive but the property itself was good value.

This was a very interesting experience.Especially since the hotel workers were on strike. The checking processor's done totally by a phone text and email with no one in person to help, but luckily it all went well.

Clean room near everything wonderful

Room was in good condition. It was a very odd space in terms of shape, probably because the space was really small (not enough to open up a suitcase, except on the bed or couch). In general, things were modern and clean. Someone had been sick in the hallway, I reported it, I promptly received a reply and it was cleaned up. I did find it odd that I was expected to take my rubbish out to the bins on the street. Pillows on the bed flattened away to provide no support when you put your head on them.

Excellent stay and location!

The room was lovely and clean and had everything we needed. I had paid extra for a studio with sofa bed as myself and granddaughter didn’t want to share. The sofa needed pulling out and making up on our arrival. Furniture had to be moved to allow this as the room was so small. Not much space to move around. Slightly disappointed by the size of the room when the sofa was out.

Told we hadn't paid and our room was cancelled. Not able to cook as planned, no salt, pepper or oil, nothing provided There were steps to our room, steps to the washing machine. Not what we expected.

Fabulous apartment, had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was spacious, clean, in a great location close to Bryggen and the room was very quiet. Check-in system and app worked perfectly 🙂

Clean, modern and a nice size for three women. But one mirror (in the bathroom) in the entire two bedroom apartment, which isn’t great when you’re all trying to get ready at once. The key card entry was easy enough and we felt safe there. Great location, near to cafes, supermarkets and a few minutes’ walk to the nearest bus stop for the airport or 10 minutes to the light rail. You can walk to Bryggen in less than 15 minutes.

Cuisine bien équipée. Propre dans l'ensemble. La vaisselle était sale lorsqu'on est arrivée (surtout les verres et ustensiles). Odeur nauséabonde dans le corridor (étage 2), comme une odeur d'égout ou d'étable). Chambre très minimaliste, nous aurions aimé des tables de nuit pour mettre nos trucs. Oreillers beaucoup trop minces, nous en aurions eu besoin de 2 supplémentaires. Le frigo nécessite un dégivrage. Sinon, le check-in très facile, il faut lire les instructions dans les courriels et c'est tout. Très calme.

There are many things to like about this hotel location is excellent within walking distance of all interesting restaurants and the wharf. The apartment was spotlessly clean the bed was comfortable and the shower was good. It was great to have a Kitchen and there were grocery stores very close by. On the downside there was no shampoo I know basic supplies for the kitchen like salt pepper and cooking oil. So I have to go to buy those and I didn’t leave them because the instructions were to get rid of everything. I also found that the lack of instructions for how to use the various appliances was a bit disturbing and I had trouble with the induction stove and with the oven. The price however was very good for Bergen and so I would stay again. I appreciated having a laundry. The gym was less inviting since it’s in the basement with no windows although there is a very large TV. I was so long so the studio suited me fine but it would be very small for any more than one person

staff takes too long to reply to emails. confusing electricity switch, no instructions on how to use it nor for the oven/stove.

I just want to cover all the pros and cons so people will be able to make a good decision for themselves. Great location- near water and city center, food, shopping. No parking so you have to park at city parking garages. There are 2 close by , Kloster (4 min) and City Park (6 min). It is about $28 a day. In lobby print door cards. Its nice to have with your phone key. Easier to use on front door and going up in elevator. Room is very clean and modern. Has everything you need, but very small. For 2 people, there is nowhere to put luggage and one 10" to hang anything. Bed is comfortable but wedged in a corner. The top mattress shifts a little. Because there is only a small lip from bath floor to shower area. Water tends to get all over floor. We would stay here again because of the location, cleanliness, and room amenities.

I liked the fact that it had a kitchen with things you need in one. I did not like the check in or the garbage disposal after being charged for a cleaning fee. Otherwise, I liked the property.
