It’s a 2-star hotel so expect that. Very loud. Bring ear plugs. I have no idea what goes on at 4:30am. Wedging some cardboard in the door helps with the constant rattling. Staff are nice and helpful. Would be nice to have extra towels because floor is slippery and there’s no carpet. Convenient location. Lots of city hustle. Could do without the shower mildew.

Overall the stay was ok. The staff was very friendly and helped me with heating my own food.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ At the heart of Cusco, Hotel del Sur is a gem. The staff was friendly, attentive and makes you feel like family. The rooms were clean and cozy, breakfast fresh and healthy. The location was perfect — close to the San Pedro market and walking distance to the Plaza de Armas. Loved the indoor terrace for relaxing after a day of exploring. Thank you Almicar and Carmen to make my stay unforgettable. Highly recommended!

I stayed here twice during my Peru trip.

Beds were uncomfortable. Small room for a quadruple beds. Also guy charged my twice when I check out. I only signed once but I got double charged on my credit card statement. I’m disputing xtra charge with my bank. No heater or elevator. Staff was really nice and warm and welcoming and attentive

Property was nice and clean and very close to the main plaza, train station, shops and restaurants. The maintainers were very accomodating to many of our requests.

The nicest, most hospitable staff. So friendly and helpful. Hotel is in a very convenient area. A couple blocks from center and from train station. Met my needs and the staff was just the best.

I left a note when I booked that it would be a late check-in because we were coming from aguas calientes by train and taxi. When we got there the guy at the desk said he doesn’t see our booking. He finally found it and checked us in. The rooms were freezing, we booked 3 rooms and he gave us one heater & said other guests are using the others. When I booked, the checkout said 10:30am and when we got there he said we needed to be out by 9am. Extremely inconvenient and rude.

Breakfast does not start at 7 as they will tell you. The area is close to San Pedro Mercado.

Decent place for the price — clean, affordable, and in a convenient location. Just be aware there’s no heating, which seems to be common in some other hotels in the area too. It wasn’t a huge issue for me, but something to consider if you’re staying during colder months.

Quiet place in a noise city. Warm Water was hard to come bye

A bit loud, recommend ear plugs or white noise on phone, every one was so friendly.

Front desk lady was super nice. She spoke English and helped us with other bookings, questions, translation etc. she would bring to our room the hot water, anything we asked like bowls, spoons etc. she was very helpful and rooms were nice and clean. The hotel was close to the city, banks, attractions. I recommend and give 5 star to this place

Noisy, Bring earplugs! Great location, clean rooms, hot water most of the time, average breakfast. Hand towels and bath floor mats available on request, really should just be in the rooms without asking. Laundry service available and did a good job. The inner courtyard makes this hotel a noisy place between kitchen dishes, tv in the courtyard, doorbell, and general noise of other customers. The hotel would benefit from any noise reduction in the courtyard, on the room doors. There is a lot to like about this place, but the noise was terrible.
