We had a lovely stay at C4 Retreat! The hotel staff was really friendly and helpful, and the continental breakfast was great. The hotel felt fresh and clean with all the necessary amenities. It was super easy to check in despite there not being a 24/7 reception and there were nice little details like getting a decanter of fresh water in your room every day (even though the tap water is safe to drink). There's not a lot going on in Xagħra where the hotel is located so we ended up renting a car for the 4 days we were in Gozo, simply because it felt neccessary in order to see the island properly. There are plenty of beaches/bays worth visiting and everything is within 10-30 minutes away so I would recommend you to do the same if you're here for a few days. Victoria is a beautiful little city with lovely restaurants and it seemed fairly easy to get the bus there if you don't drive. I would maybe recommend the hotel to change the name of the TVs in every room, just so people know which one to connect to in case you want to cast something from your phone. That was my only feedback so apart from that it was a 5/5 for us! ☀︎

If you're visiting Malta and skipping Gozo, you're missing the best part. C4 Retreats is a freshly renovated boutique guesthouse in the heart of Xagħra — one of Gozo's most charming villages, steps away from the historic Xagħra Square. It's small, intimate, and everything a stay on this island should feel like. We ended up extending to two nights — which says everything. Gozo moves at its own pace, and C4 fits that perfectly. The property is new, clean, and well thought out, with a rooftop pool and terrace that make it easy to never want to leave. Restaurants, cafés, and local shops are all within a short walk. If you're looking for a quiet escape from the busier side of Malta, this is exactly the place. Highly recommended — and honestly, book as many nights as you can.

The room was spotless clean, provided all amenities, and was convenient as the self check-in was smooth and the required assistance via immediate replies were provided to answer any queries. Would recommend!

It was all very new and lovely. Enjoy the breakfast as it a cheap start to your day for multiple coffees and all you can eat. My only negative was 8 extended my stay by 1 day and had to change room understandably, however the new room had a bad smell and needed a decent bleaching in the shower. My first room was perfect however.
