The overall facilities of the property were very good. Rooms were clean and they had all the necessary amenities to be comfortable (small refrigerator, microwave, washer/dryer, BBQ stove, a private terrace), However, the hotel has way too many rules and policies which makes it unwelcoming. If you infringe on any of these rules it will cost you. These rules include the hours of checking in and out, visiting hours of non-registered guests, losing of keys, among others. And the lady who does the checking in makes sure to inform you of all the "rules". It really made me feel unwelcomed.

Casa de Montaña Bed & Breakfast was an excellent stay in Boquete! Clean, modern, well maintained, convenient and on the main road through town. The staff were friendly and always of assistance and helpful. I plan to return for an extended stay next year when I return to Panama. I was scouting the area as a potential retirement area. I may have found my future retirement community!

Very helpful and pleasant staff, lovely place. Gorgeous setting in mountains. No a/c or heat needed, fresh breezes. Small but well designed room. Full breakfast of local fresh food. Highly recommend.

We had a WONDERFUL time at Casa de Montaña - Ed and his staff are terrific - all of the little "extras" that they provide truly make it a special experience. From the friendly folks, the fabulous selection for breakfast, the free wine at happy hour, and all the charming places to sit and relax... we had a great time - would definitely come back - you won't be disappointed if you stay here.

All the staff were very kind and helpful, lovely room and very clean. I would definitely repeat my stay if I travel to Boquete again. In a nice view terrace they offer you bottles of wines 24 hours, I liked it very much enjoying a glass of red wine in a quiet and cozy mountain view terrace.

Very well equipped rooms and friendly owners and staff. Area was a bit noisy but owners cannot help that since it is the neighboring cats or something that are oddly loud. Breakfast was great 2 days and just so so the other 4. Loved having the wine hour.

We stayed at Casa de Montana for 3 nights and for three afternoons and evenings we had rain and pretty steady at that. I can't blame that on anything at the B&B, just a function of Boquete in September. We did manage sunshine on our last morning and sure wish we could have stayed longer. The room was quite lovely although we probably would have opted for one further towards the back of the house away from the street noise which was fairly constant most of the day. During the night, sleep was interrupted a few times by roosters who can't tell time, which we were told is fairly common throughout the area. The bed however was great. The little balcony was wonderful as were the other open common areas for hanging out. We used them all. The owners were very helpful especially when our return journey to the states was interrupted due to the hurricane.

I am very happy that we had a chance to stay at Casa de Montana B&B during our 5-day visit to Boquete. Everything was just perfect from check-in to the very last moment of our stay. Probably the best part of this place are the hosts Terry and Manzar! These guys are super friendly and they are not just trying to be nice, it’s pretty obvious that they enjoy helping and interacting with their guests. They helped us with some valuable advice about activities and even booked some tours and arranged transportation. The rooms are really nice and well equipped, we especially loved the private terrace area that we had in front of our room. It’s very quiet and peaceful but you don’t really need a car to get to the city center. It’s only 15 minutes walking, a taxi will take you there in a few minutes and it only costs $2, we always walked though… Ruiz farm is very close and you should try their coffee, it’s very tempting since you will be smelling the aroma every time on the way to and back from the city! I highly recommend this place and will definitely return and stay at Casa de Montana again.

Wow! From the moment we arrived at Casa de Montana, the owners, Manzar and Terry made us feel like we were friends not simply guests. Casa de Montana is a lovely 6 room B&B with all the comforts of home. Well appointed rooms that offer top of the line mattresses, comfy pillows, soft sheets and fluffy towels. The biggest problem is not wanting to leave the hotel to explore the beautiful surrounding area that is Boquete. It is well situated in the mountains of Panama 1 hour from the Pacific and 3 hours from the Caribbean. It's elevation offers the perfect climate with highs of 80 (27 C) to night time lows around 60 (15 C), low humidity, and lush flora. Easy to understand the expat community's popularity. Friendly people, great restaurants, perfect climate and an abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables. That is the other part to this wonderful B&B, a breakfast to remember. Sitting on the terrace watching the hummingbirds flitting about, we thoroughly enjoyed the fabulous locally grown coffee and the delicious breakfast that was served. A large plate of fresh fruit and juice and a breakfast menu that changed daily, such as the French crepes, fluffy eggs with locally sourced vegetables, freshly made Panamanian bread and more. It's good there are so many outdoor activities to do to work off the breakfasts. Manzar and Terry and their fabulous staff not only keep a spotless place but treat you like family. Casa de Montana is a home you can't wait to return to. Thanks

I had a fantastic stay here and would recommend it to anyone staying in Boquete. The hotel is a pleasant 15 minute walk out of town; there is a gorgeous outdoor terrace for breakfast (and the breakfasts are amazing; different every morning); the owners / staff host a social hour for guests every evening, which is a lovely way of getting to know people and find out about things to do. Debra, Manzar and Terry could not have been more helpful in advising on and organising activities and I could not have had a better time during my five days in Boquete.

- Building is a masterpiece; architecture beautiful & functional — well thought out for a B&B - Rooms spacious, comfortable, great decorations and colours, with microwave, small fridge, comfy beds. - Owners friendly, concerned about guests stays. Thought out everything down to snacks in the rooms. - Each morning a breakfast from a different nation, on a beautiful outdoor patio, with views of the valley, trees, and the sound of birds. - loved hearing the rooster in the mornings — I’m actually missing it now. - would stay again, in an instant!

Great place, beautiful setting, new facility, bery well built with top notch finishes, comfortable beds. The owners are on site and their hospitality is second to none. We had great chats with them at breakfast and social hour in the evening. The dining area and patio are cosy and comfortable and breakfast was awesome. I think that once this place has a few years under its belt it will probably be booked out all the time. It has 6 rooms and is intimate and the owners really work at perfecting their craft which made this one of the best places we have stayed at in Panama.

Room could be a bit more spacious and could definitely use a chair. They need to have some large trees planted in rear to block homes behind. Other than that, everything very good.

We loved staying at Casa de las Montañas. Its a new building, architecturally designed, and well laid out to create a comfortable flow for guests around the property. We were the first weekend arrivals, so we got to choose our room. We recommend it. "Quetzal" was spacious, had a massive picture window with a vast view of the mountains, a large, new, comfortable bed, a cozy private patio, and a luxurious "rain" shower with great light that inspired some fun photography! Our hosts, Manzer and Terry, couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. They quickly booked several adventures for us, including horseback riding, a tour of a local coffee farm… they even invited us to join them to see a local stage production. We felt instantly at home. Their happy hour on the front terrace was a nice way to meet people from all over the world, which in our case included Canadians, New Yorkers, and Italians. The food was excellent too. Manzer cooks directly from his private kitchen, and every day features a breakfast from another part of the world. Add in a daily dose of the world class local coffee, and the relentless glorious birdsong from the mountains surrounding you, and you've got a pretty unforgettable experience.
