We appreciated the location of our stay and the helpfulness of the owner/manager. The room we had in this B&B was good value for money for anyone willing to compromise on space, mattress comfort, quality of breakfast.

Cozy and very safe room in a somewhat busy town (by Scotland standards). Ft William was actually quite bustling, and the Fassifern provided a secure and comfortable place to stay. Propietor lives onsite and is extremely helpful and kind. Parking was free and well organized. Nice location for seeing the town.

Very, very small room - extremely small shower and bathroom (forget about two people in there at the same time). The curtains are not block out, so when the sun comes up you'll be awake as the room is lit up. It is conveniently located close to the town center.

The room with ensuite was decorated with old style Scottish charm. Everything we could wish for, a selection of teas and biscuits, and even hot chocolate and heater that worked. Spotless and functional, we enjoyed our stay, and we loved the 2 breakfast packages left outside our door before our early morning departure. Thank you dear host.

This is very much a hostel for the price of a hotel. The front door was unlocked (and remained so the entire stay) upon arrival and there was no front desk or check in area. You are essentially walking into someone’s (messy) home. We eventually knocked on the door labeled private and a confused woman said to go to the open room with the key in the door- did not confirm our name, reservation number, or anything. I asked about parking, as the street parking available mentioned being permit required, and was handed the woman’s personal cell phone to speak with “the owner”. “The owner” assured me it was not a big deal but could provide us the permit in person in “20 minutes to an hour”. Not wanting to waste our trip awaiting this unnamed person, we asked them to leave the permit under our door and message us through the Expedia app when this was done. The shower in room was an ADVENTURE. You had to pull a string to start the water, slide the glass shower door that opened inwards, and navigate a box in shower with 2 knobs. The water was either ice cold or molten hot, and we just had to speed run our shower and alternate between the two temperatures. I will say the breakfast provided was yummy- lots of snack items, fruit, granola, yogurt. Unfortunately there was no space to eat in the room other than the bed (there was also no common kitchen/dining area we could have gone to alternatively). Overall we did not feel entirely safe staying here and would not recommend.

Very comfortable bed after hike up Ben Nevis and continental breakfast was very good

This was week 2 of owner taking on the property ...once we knew this a lot of things made sense. Had the comfiest bed and slept well both nights, lots of hot water too. We also were given a breakfast hamper that he was trying out , and that was a creative way to provide breakfast ...so good thinking. we were lucky to be chosen as guinea pigs. Definately work in progress for the accomodation....and good luck .

Short stop, just spent the night. Excellent service from the host with extremely late checkin due to traffic and road works. Even made us a filling breakfast although not originally included.
