Thanks for a wonderful stay

The hotel is behind in their maintenance jobs. The bathroom faucet never stopped dripping and the sliding door to the balcony couldn’t open. I called the desk downstairs twice for someone to come to my room to fix the jammed lock. They couldn’t fix it so I just left the door unlocked. I injured my left hip and I’m still dealing with the pain of inflammation. I may have see my doctor when I get back home. The door to my room on the second floor was very hard to open. When I turned the handle, the door would open about six to eight inches. With my whole body I had to slam my left hip against the door and still could barely open it. As a result, I am experiencing extreme pain in my left hip area and at times it’s hard to walk or carry my baggage or my purse.

One was allowed to smoke outside the hotel, but NO Ashtrays provided and i think rather than people dropping buts, why don't they provide Ashtrays and bins.

Excellent location, friendly, helpful staff

I found that the amenities needed maintenance. The bathroom faucet was dripping. The lock on the balcony sliding door was broken. I had to call for help in opening the door twice. Finally, we just left the door unlocked.

Great location. Only 15min walk from the city. Perfect for solo travellers who prefer to be away from the hustle and busyness of family/ common areas. Stunning view from balcony and nice walkways along the esplanade. Room was clean, bed was comfy and the pillows were the best I've had in any accom anywhere I've travelled. My room had a door into the next room & this meant it was noisy when kids were staying next door. The food was a bit on the pricey side for what it was. But overall I enjoyed my stay, the staff were friendly & helpful and I would recommend this to family and friends

Good location

Older hotel that has been nicely refurbished. Bathrooms an older style still but we had a bath ! Lovely location on the waterfront, close enough to the centre to walk for restaurants etc but far enough down to be nice and quiet at night. Very clean, friendly helpful staff, would recommend it highly .

Harbourside hotel is a great hotel near the Esplanade. The room was modern, spacious and comfortable. and there is a small balcony. Everything was clean. From the hotel you can walk to the Esplanade and anywhere in the centre. The food in the bar was fine. Great local beer!

I recently stayed at the Cairns Harbourside Hotel and overall had a very pleasant experience. The property was clean, well maintained, and conveniently located close to the Esplanade and other local amenities, making it a good base for exploring Cairns. The furnishings and décor inside the room felt somewhat dated and could benefit from a refresh. However, the room was comfortable and clean, which is ultimately what matters most. One of the highlights of the stay was the staff. Every member of the team was friendly, professional, and extremely helpful, providing excellent customer service throughout our visit. The breakfast offered a decent variety of options, but the food itself was fairly average in terms of taste. We also tried the pizza for dinner, which was acceptable but nothing particularly memorable. On the other hand, the piña colada dessert was outstanding and easily the best item we tried from the restaurant. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would highly recommend Cairns Harbourside Hotel, particularly for families looking for a clean, comfortable, and conveniently located place to stay in Cairns.

We actually had an issue with getting our room cleaned which was frustrating. No face cloths and the restaurant in the hotel is very pricey. We walked a mile to get food when we had time. The kids loved the pool

The hotel was located a short walk from the main hub of entertainment and the marina. We were able to walk to everything but still have a quiet evening.

Good location with great view from balcony. Comfy bed. Roomy

Everything is good about the hotel but the location is not very convenient. It takes about 30 minutes walk to the reef boat ports and 20 minutes to the downtown.

Breakfast was very good and if you were a big breakfast person you would struggle to eat what was on offer and it was fresh

The hotel seemed to be a high-end hotel which had fallen on harder times. In one room, neither of the bedside lights on one side worked. The handyman tried several different bulbs, but said the problem needed an electrician. (No idea if one was ever called - the lights were not fixed while we were there.) In our next room, the led light of one of the bedside lights did not work. (Each bed had a traditional bedside light and below it a flexible led light.) Lampshades were old and cracked on the more traditional bedside lights.
