Location was perfectly central and in a lively location. Room attributes were very good, good size, extremely clean, bathroom clean and modern. This hotel has a lift. And most importantly the 2 ladies on front desk were extremely helpful with suggestions and recommendations. A great stay.

The front office staffs are very friendly. The hotel is very centrally located in the old town with a lot of restaurants in walking distance. The weekend can get a little noisy from the street. The WiFi is extremely unreliable. The room is spacious but Bathroom is very tight can fit one person at the time. We had do no disturb sign on in the morning but housekeeping open the door without even knocking at 8am which is terrible. We were told that some don’t speak English but the sign has a sleeping symbol on it which is universal. Thankfully we were awake and stopped them coming in right away.

Loved this place! Was right in walking distance to many restaurants, shopping, and sights. We stayed in a room that sleeps three, and were pleasantly surprised when we got to our room and had a bottle of wine and a terrace off of our room! We also arrived early and the front desk had no problem holding our bags and even bringing them into the room for us when the room was ready. Would highly recommend!

My room was not cleaned for the first 2 days of my stay. I had to beg to have it cleaned and it finally was on my third last day of stay.

The rooms are small, but they have everything. The time that I stayed, temperatures were elevated, and the room has NO air condition. Only a Dyson that cools the room down a little bit.

This hotel has some serious problems. The worst is that for some reason, it appears the keys open any room doors. This happened to me twice during my stay where someone else got into my room. I had to double secure it to avoid people getting in. Totally unacceptable. There's no receptionist 24/7 so when I left I basically left the property with zero assistance. Another issue, despite this is not the staff's fault is that this hotel is right on one of the busiest streets in Zurich, so I stayed on a Friday night and I simply couldn't sleep because of the noise. Maybe better acoustic insulation on the windows? Overall a bad experience, I wouldn't recommend.

Location is charming in old Zurich. The staff are warm and helpful. Henrici Cafe is just around the corner for breakfast.

Location is excellant near a very lively plaza. Room is very functional with a mini kitchen and a fridge. We had a window open in to plaza that made it interesting. They are in process of finishing the upgrade of the hotel, so ask for a fan as room tends to be warm

Great hotel and amazing location in the heart of old town Zürich!

This was a terrible hotel. The room was too small to even move around. There is no sound proofing and it was too noisy from outside even with the windows closed. The bed was very uncomfortable and small. It's just a waste of money to stay here.

Awesome place… clean and the beds were great. Love the refrigerator and stove. Especially free water. Makes such a difference when you are traveling

Nous sommes restés quatre nuits au Franziskaner en avril 2026. La chambre est très propre, moderne, compact mais comprend tout le nécéssaire pour cuisiner. La salle de bain est grande, bien éclairée, très fonctionnelle. L’hôtel est bien situé dans le vieux quartier Niederdorf de Zürich, à proximité de la gare centrale, de musées et d'une très grande offre de restaurants et de boutiques. Le personnel est courtois et attentif. L’édifice est bien insonorisé et si on garde les fenêtres fermées, c’est bien tranquille. Il faut savoir que les fenêtres donnent sur une cour intérieure où se trouve les terrasses de quelques restaurants et donc il y a de la musique et du bruit jusqu’à environ minuit et aussi tôt le matin lorsque le secteur est nettoyé. À part ce bémol nous avons apprécié cet établissement et n’hésitons pas à le recommander.

Ubicación es lo mejor

Hotel muito bem centralizado, muito perto da estação de trem, ótima limpeza, roupa de cama, e organização do quarto, além de ser um flat com cozinha toda equipada com utensílios. Fabuloso

O hotel é super bem localizado, o staff é muito atencioso, camas e travesseiros muito confortáveis, o box do banheiro é bem pequeno. A minha única reclamação é que o quarto é muito quente e não tem ar condicionado. Eles disponibilizaram um ventilador, ajudou bastante, mas mesmo assim ficava muito quente (fomos em Maio, a temperatura na cidade estava em torno de 15-20). Fora isso, o custo-benefício é excelente.
