Didn’t appreciate paying for parking

Bar we were a party of 4 who stayed with you on the24 July 2026, to go see UN40 at Chepstow racecourse.Upon our return at 22.45 we were look forward to a drink, only to find the bar closed. I was the designated drive you could imagine my disapointment

Nice enough hotel although getting dated. Food was fine. Just the place badly needs a lift to the upper floors. Bwe managed but it spoilt the experience for a coupme with heart issues.

The breakfast was great and the beds comfortable. Staff friendly too but the bathroom was filthy. The area under the sink was thick with dust and cobwebs - clearly had never been cleaned. I told the reception staff (and showed photos) who, while crediting my parking back, seemed confused and said they would report to housekeeping. I really hope they do sort out the cleaning as otherwise a nice hotel.

The room allocated wasnt to the normal high standard - did have a few odour issues from the last guests and overpowered by disinfectant damp smell = but staff very helpful in changing rooms and all good - we visit 4-5 times a year and will be coming again

I had a very enjoyable stay. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. I would happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it to others.

The sofa bed was the sole complaint but because it was so springy and uncomfortable both children did not sleep well and neither did we because of the loud noise every time one of them moved! The staff at check in/check out, the bar, at breakfast and at the pool were super friendly and helpful.

The pool was full of kids having lessons and not really available to guests

Pros: Really gorgeous comfortable bed which is the main thing, I slept really well. Aircon worked well too which was good considering the temperatures we've had. Every member of staff I interacted with was absolutely lovely and really made the stay enjoyable. Good selection at breakfast Good free wifi Cons: There were quite a few flies in my room (some dead, some not) Neither of my bedside table lamps worked Before using it the bath just looked dirty. Obviously years of wear and tear there but The Pink Stuff or Barkeepers Friend should clean it. As I was showering the bath was filling up and it just looked a bit manky. The seats around the bar were very tired and some stained. Other than the service (which was fantastic) it wasn't giving 4* hotel, tbh.

We had a problem when we arrived as we had booked a Superior King Room with our dog but on arrival told we couldn't have that so downgraded to a lessor room. But the staff gave us a free drink and free parking and as we had no choice at that stage we had to accept it. Very annoying as I had called in advance to confirm the booking and that we were bringing a dog etc but thats the problem with corporates

Excellent place with good pool and sauna. Well maintained

Friendly staff. Room was great but as it was on the first floor and no lift difficult to get bags to. Restaurant food was not great and expensive.

Didn’t have breakfast as too expensive

Everything were perfect . Really enjoyed it and will go there again
