This Ibis is in a stunning old building with High Ceilings and Tall Windows. The natural light, and views were delightful. The design and detail throughout is Contemporary, well-designed and executed. The tile work in the bathroom was very artistic. All of the Desk staff were friendly, patient, and helpful. I gather that this property was recently extensively renovated and Upgraded to the much higher "Styles" designation within the Ibis brand levels. The Breakfast Room/Bar is stunning - almost Scandinavian style. The Breakfast was filling, diverse, tasty, and High Quality. Everything was Fresh, Hot, and replenished continuously as needed. I really appreciated the Breakfast - and looked forward to it each morning. The Coffee was Ourstanding - which, no offense, is not the norm in the UK. The Beds, and bedding were exceptionally comfortable - impressive and welcome. I think this Hotel was worth the price - and more than Five Stars. I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 night stay in York. My stay at this Ibis Styles reinforced my decision to visit York - and enhanced my visit to York immensely.

Two comments to make 1. No hooks or rails in bathroom for towels. 2. Ignored at the bar by staff, to busy collecting glasses to step behind the ro serve us, not impressed!

Lovely hotel Lovely and helpful staff.Only one small complaint.No glasses in the bathroom to rinse your mouth ,and only one towel in a twin bedded room.Also no telephone in case you have an emergency.Other than that a great stay at the hotel.

The room that I stayed in was the smallest hotel room ever. The bed was pushed against the wall and one of us had to climb over the other person when we needed to use the bathroom. The photographs in the hotel brochure do not show the bedroom that I was allocated. Staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was average.

Come to have shower found it was broken. Some on came so call repair. Water pressure none existent. Had to move room . Breakfast sausages rock hard bacon same. 3 days all My partner came to toast bread and found bread was green with mould . If we had not paid up front we definitely would not have eaten again. Hoping it would have got better after day one but it didn’t 😖lst time and the last Iwe would stay at the Ibiz

Found a load of hair on the carpet of the room. The view from the window was a brick wall. Tiny carpark and given advice to park at Premier Inn (not allowed) Breakfast was a little limited and cold. It’s a shame as it’s a nice hotel and the room was good

Rooms are okay. There is a multi level parking available just opposite the hotel, and guests get a discounted rate for overnight parking. Good for a pit stop night rest.

Very nice room, modern, clean, no complaints there. Contrary to name it’s a little out of the City Centre, easily walkable unless the weather turns on you, which it did to us one night. The lack of a restaurant for dinner then became disappointing (staff pointed us towards a poor Italian across the road) generally speaking a nice hotel though
