Nice place. Friendly staff

Very clean and friendly staff. Location is great and just outside the city walls.

Room was clean and the staff were very friendly.

We stayed for 2 nights. The hotel is lovely and clean. Room is cosy and has everything you need. Only downside is parking. The hotels parking is very limited and the parking options near by aren’t the best if you are staying longer than 1 night. Other than that we had a lovely stay!

The beds and pillows are really comfy and it’s not too far out of town The rooms are a little too dark (could do with an option of having a brighter light if needed) There was quite a bit of dust in the room (around the table lamp and on the frame of the bed) Lovely modern decor but could do with a hook on the back of the door or on the wall to put wet coats when the weathers not great The room didn’t have enough tea,coffee,milk and sugar for 2 nights and one of the mugs was chipped When we walked into area to go to our room,there was an awful musty smell in the corridor (as if someone had been smoking and tried to spray it to hide it)

Clean and tidy but nothing special. Staff. Pleasant enough but just seemed like caretakers looking after the place.

Basin tap very loose ( swung around ) and shower valve poor also

We didn't have breakfast but everything was fantastic. Beautiful room, lovely staff. Will definitely stay again.

Very nice property with nice decor. The only negative was a bit of a sewage like smell in the downstairs hallway but this seemed to be the case in quite a few areas of York. The actual property was very clean.

Problem with room. Moved to another room and problems there. Broken fittings and dirty cutlery

We had a lovely stay here in room 319 ….the shower need sorted but apart from that it was v good

Bathroom was not clean. Staff came to clean it again, when showing me what she had done to clean it, she stepped inside the shower with dirty shoes. It got cleaner, but still not as clean as I would have expected. Especially sink looked like it wasn’t properly cleaned in a long time. Not that central (not familiar in York so K did not know) and I honestly thought it was a bit expensive for what it was. Booked two rooms that were the same type and price - one was significantly bigger than the other. Breakfast was great and everyone found something they liked. Gluten free bread provided upon request, other gluten free options are out on display.
