What Guests Say About Their Stay

One of the nicest hotels we have stayed. The location was great, situated on the river front, a lovely way to enjoy the sun shine. The hotel was clean and the bed was so comfy. It was great coffee and tea facilities in the room, with short bread biscuits as a special treat to start the morning off positively. The car park was next to the hotel and we paid 19 pounds for the night. We didn’t opt for the breakfast, and we enjoyed an evening meal nearby, so did not use the restaurant facilities but there was a good range of choices on the menu. We will defo return to this hotel.

The air-conditioning breakdown in my room and the staff were helpful in relocating me to another room very quickly they also extended my stay on a couple of occasions, allowing me to stay in the same room

Great location and about 15 minutes from the station, an easy walk. The dockside area does get busy, avoid if you don’t like to see people having fun, lovely place to walk around plenty to see. We didn’t eat at the hotel, found a bus to Bath only a few minutes walk away. Nice friendly hotel

Asked for a "quiet" room. Given a room overlooking the riverside. The many entertainment venues were very noisy so, in spite of the very warm weather, we had to keep the windows shut to keep out the noise. Not ideal so if you, like us, are light sleepers and request a "quiet room" , make sure it does NOT face onto the riverside!!

All of the staff were very helpful but especially the barman and restaurant staff. I had an excellent meal in the restaurant, and a great night's sleep. The room was comfortable but I spent precious little time in it to want much more out of the room itself. My single, solitary criticism is a very picky one. There was a hand rail to get into the bath/shower but not one to assist the reverse process. This required a careful balancing act but I descended safely. Thus, a safety rail placed parallel with the rail, which contains the towels might be of benefit to assist those, who like me suffer from arthritis, to exit after bathing or showering. I did not go to the cocktail bar before or after dinner because I was bushed but I will return to Bristol and make sure that I sample its wares.

Easy to find with car park right next door, easy and immediate check in, helpful staff, well appointed room. It was quite stuffy in the room as the windows do not open fully and there is no air con. We did find a fan in the cupboard at the end of our stay though.

Love the understated luxury of The Bristol. Great location with a nice lobby bar and Ricks is a vibe. A bit more investment in to the maintenance programme needed. The hotel is starting g to show its age in the little details. Some rooms in desperate need

No air con in the room and despite it not being more than about 25c outside, the room was very stuffy even with some cheap tower fan which didn't really do much. Shower / bath was very slippery only a small circular non slip area in the bath so you have to be careful. Bathrooms are quite small so not ideal for everyone I would think. No fridge in the room and only 1 complemtary bottle of water but reception did say if we wanted more they were happy to provide. Would just be nice e to of had another in the rooms as they knew they were quite warm. Well cleaned and friendly helpful staff. Discount rates available for the adjoining multistory car park. Didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on food.

Nice clean hotel located in the middle of the Harbourside. Room was clean, bed comfy with a good shower. Breakfast was plentiful. Small grievance - did pay over £400 for 2 nights so assumed breakfast was included. Had to pay another £60 so nearly £230 a night is a little pricey..
