Japanese modern style room, great location easily within walking distance to Kawaramachi shopping district. Near subway station and also bus station to many spots in Kyoto. Hotel provides onsen which is good for relaxing after a full day of walking.

Absolutely amazing 10/10 stay. If I come back to Kyoto I am coming here. the room was immaculate, great size for Japan. there were loads of amenities, even a public bath house which I didn’t know before booking. The location is great, with good proximity to train stations. there was also a free maiko show and photo opportunity. Finally the staff were incredibly helpful and kind and spoke amazing english.

Great location. Staff was helpful and most spoke pretty good English. Onsen was nice surprise and great to soak after all the walking. Rooms are tiny but aside from this, everything else was great.

The nicest hotel we stayed at during our six night trip. It had that old Kyoto charm. The geisha in the lobby was a nice touch in the afternoon. Conveniently located and helpful staff. Nice free amenities too.

I love this little hotel. Great location, small well-designed rooms (get the deluxe double at least). A Maiko show or cultural event late afternoons, a small bar, nice cafe and bookshop. Very comfortable beds and pillows and places to put your clothes away. A laundromat and hot springs, and in-room massages you can book at the front desk. After 2 weeks of traveling around Japan staying in all sorts of different places, I was so happy to be back here. (My 3rd or 4th stay!)

The hotel is really conveniently located, the staff is lovely and accommodating, the baths is amazing and the beds were comfortable. The only two negatives were: the WiFi was not great. And the room is a bit of a spaceship at night with all the blinking lights so bring an eye mask.

Beautiful property conveniently located. The room was small but very cute. We didn't use the spa, but daily breakfast was great with tons of options. A few minutes walk from train stops and a 15 minute walk from the national garden and Gion District. We would stay again.
