Loved my stay at Hotel Resolution Trinity in Kyoto! The hotel had the amenities of a high-end hotel without the price. They have an onsen which was very relaxing after a long day of walking, a bar/cafe downstairs, and offered Meiko shows everyday except Sundays. The staff was very nice and I was able to leave my luggage before check-in. The hotel is about an 8 minute walk to the closest train station. There is both a 7-11 and FamilyMart close to the hotel, which was convenient for quick breakfast/snacks. The room was very comfortable and even had tatami flooring, giving a traditional experience. Absolutely recommend this hotel to future travelers!

This was such a cute little quaint hotel! The breakfast is the only thing I don’t think is worth it, especially considering it’s so close to many restaurants that you can just walk 10-12 minutes to the Nishiki market or the Terramachi market.

Nice hotel. Loved the dance show. The staff were absolutely fantastic, very welcoming and helpful. I had lost my camera in a taxi and they went out of their way to find the taxi company and arrange for my camera to be delivered. So grateful to them!

Room was not large enough for the wide double bed. Left very little space to walk around. There are no common amenities in the room. They are kept in one place on first floor in the hallway! They advertise the restaurant but it does not serve breakfast items a la carte, not even coffee. We were forced to go out in wintry weather to get coffee and baked goods. If you check out even an hour later than 11 am, they will charge extra. Traditional Japanese style means stuff is lower to the ground, including the bed and the sink which can hurt your back. Otherwise, it is a nice little place, clean and quiet. I won't recommend it.

We had a decent sized twin room that was very comfortable, but a bit on the “smallish” size since we were traveling with 2 big suitcases. The hotel is in good location, with easy access to public transportation, shopping, dining and some top sights. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They allowed us to check in 2 hours early, which was a nice gesture. A major plus is that they had coin operated laundry rooms on 2 floors. Another plus was that in the evenings, 6 days a week, they had a Maiko perform a couple of dances in the hotel lobby plus allowed guests the opportunity to take photos with her. They also have live music available on Friday evenings. This is definitely a hotel I would return to on a future visit to Kyoto.
