Absolutely perfect from start to finish!!

The hotel has a great location, staff was friendly and the facilities were modern. The room was small and there was not much space to keep things in the room or in the bathroom.

Great hotel, perfect location walking distance from a train station and the Royal Mile and the castle. Very attentive staff and great breakfast!

Hotel is in good location 100 meters from train station and very central to Edinburgh Although the hotel is undergoing maintenance at the time of writing this, it seems to be not too distracting. We had an evening meal which was fine, but the choice limited, they claimed due to being out of season Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice for all types of tastes including cook to order omelettes, which could probably do with another station as the only one working was popular Room and bathroom was fine, we were on 6th floor, but did not hear any noises during the night, so had a good sleep All in all I would happily recommend this hotel

Probably the nicest breakfast I have ever had at a hotel, our rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were nice. The in room coffee was great! The location was absolutely perfect. We walked all over the Royal Mile and up to the castle from our Hotel.

Other guests were given Prosecco on arrival but we didn’t.Reception staff did not seem to be that proficient and did not know if they could provide a chair for the shower also the fridge was not working all was put right in the end

It’s good all around. Not too fancy, but we had a great stay.

I have to tell them to clean our eoom Basically but they do not want to bed has hair dusty little bugs which i bit by my face bed stinky like pee room heater not working they have to call maintenance all the time room alarmef on us for no reason carpet dirty you paid for a hotel that is not a hotel 4 star at all i should have stayed outside that is the feeling no shampooo no body wash i have yo call but phone not workjnv i havd to go all thd way down from 7th floor to lobby

Staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful, rooms were great- nice, clean and comfortable. Location was ideal as well for getting around just a really nice stay.

Location is goo right near the train station and royal mile. Room was clean and comfortable. Good value for the price. Breakfast was a good buffet spread but pretty expensive at 18 pounds per person. The elevators were down while we were there and we did see some questionable characters in the lobby at night, but for the elevator and stairs it required a room key. The door did close a bit slowly behind you when taking the stairs unless you pulled it shut.

Room was clean, spacious and provided all needed for a 4 night stay.

This was a very nice hotel that was extremely convenient for travelers arriving in Edinburgh by train - literally only a block and a half away! While a bit more expensive than a comparable hotel we stayed at in London an equal distance from Victoria Station, it was ideal for our stay in Edinburgh. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived early and they kept our luggage for us while we visited the Palace and toured the Royal Mile. My only concern was that our luggage and backpack were left exposed to the general public in the lobby the entire time we were away. A secure room for left luggage would’ve been more reassuring! Our room had a lovely king size bed. The ironing board and iron was a nice touch. The hair dryer worked great and there was lots of hot water and great water pressure. The climate control in the room was sluggish but eventually did a good job. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet.

Smelly. Sewage smell from shower and dingy smell overall. Strange street despite central location. I’d spend a little more on something more modern or more upscale traditional. This is neither.
