Great hotel that's also in a fabulous location right next to the train station and a couple of minutes to shops, bars and restaurants. Air conditioning broke and they straight away moved us to a bigger better room, staff very friendly.

There was a long running power problem that wasn’t adequately communicated. We had to use a neighbouring hotel for breakfast both mornings. The family room was spacious but very dark. I didn’t find it good value for the money we paid.

Average hotel - the rooms are tiny! I checked in during the heat wave and the AC in the room was broken. Breakfast was below average! Staff on the other hand are super nice and friendly!

Room was on 4th floor. Ok but issue with air conditioning. Fam had been provided which was sufficient during our stay but would not have been any good for hotter weather. Complimentary breakfast given by hotel because of failure with air conditioning

Three generations going to a concert at the castle and this was the perfect location! Queen bed and a bunk bed, nice sized room and everything you could want within a few mins walk. A/C nice and cold too. Parked at the central station very close by and £14 for 24 hours. Definitely would book this hotel again.

The hotel is in good location near to train station and city center, super convenient. Staff are kind and polite. Hotel room very tidy and clean. Very recommend.

The staff were friendly and helpful, allowing storage of luggage and early check-in when we arrived. Room 109 was very small, with a waste-of-space secondary door and limited floor space. The card holder for the electricity connection was hidden when the door was opened, making it difficult to locate in the dark. The shower was very small with a triangular wall at one end, toilet was almost underneath the wash basin and there was very little space in the bathroom for toiletries and washing equipment. Breakfast was good apart from the cheap coffe andtoaster which took ages to toast the bread.

Having arrived at the hotel at 1430, we were given a room, which was small and very cramped. We turned on the air conditioning and soon as we arrived and it was obvious that it wasn’t working. We left it on while we went out for something to eat. I returned 90 minutes later and it still indicated 29 degrees. I informed reception of the problem and the Receptionist told me that she would deal with it. It still wasn’t working when we returned at midnight. I was told that there was still a problem. Neither my wife nor I slept throughout the night. I was told in the morning that they would inform Expedia and reimburse us with £90. Please could you provide us with an update after such an awful experience.

The day we stayed was extremely hot, the air conditioning was NOT working in the room and informed the hotel staff many times, nothing was done. Need to get refunded. Complaint at the checkout again and left my information.
