Good base for Chester

Had an amazing night with my partner for her birthday. The room was impeccable as were all of the staff with whom we interacted with. The breakfast was phenomenal, have to say the best cooked breakfast I've ever had. The scrambled eggs are soo tasty. But yes, a very pleasant and enjoyable evening in a an amazing room. I would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning in the future.

Underwhelming rooms, confetti on floor leaking toilet. Disappointed for the price.

Lovely room, not so nice view of some kind of plant room, couldn't have window open because of the noise from it, lovely breakfast, plenty of choice and hot. Thought the £20 changed for using pool excessive, so didn't use it. Would stay again

I was working at a function at the hotel in the evening so booked a room with finishing late. Check in was efficient with welcoming staff and a gift. Room was spacious and clean although lack of bedside power points would have been better. Good nights sleep in comfortable bed. Great buffet breakfast in the morning and although hotel was fairly busy staff kept topping up food.

The rooms were nice, and the bed was comfortable, but the spa was disappointing. Towels were scattered all over the floor, and there was nowhere to sit or lie down, despite being told that time slots were in place to manage the number of guests. Breakfast was also underwhelming—the eggs were hard as if they had been sitting out for hours, the sausage was tough to cut, and the bacon fat was unrendered.

I was pretty disappointed with the hotel i paid for a room with a kingsize bed instead i got two single beds pushed together But the hotel was very clean but once we rang for room service because we wanted a lighf snack just after our arrival and no one picked up the phone and we rang a few times in general was a very nice hotel just found a few little negaitve points

Fantastic hotel lovely evening meal and delicious breakfast, excellent staff very friendly, spacious suite with comfy bed.

Restaurant is super overpriced for the quality, breakfast was okay, room was good, staff was friendly.

the staff were very friendly, but didn’t agree with £20 charge to go in pool this should be free, and was fully booked when we wanted to go. And room service food was burnt and cold.

It was ok. I stayed here about 15 years ago and remember it being fabulous. This is the main reason I chose it again. Now, it seems run down and a little bit shabby. The rooms were very noisy with people coming in after a night out in the middle of the night. The shower was broken and there was no shampoo in the dispenser. There was also 2 water bottles in the bin.

Lovely public areas, staff extremely helpful, bedrooms spacious but a little tired. Personal preference but the beds seemed very hard.

Stayed for 2 nights, humming for both nights from the aircon machine that even after trying to turn off the noise persisted from vents above the door. Evening meal both nights were lovely. Very disappointed in the second mornings breakfast. I think they charge £16 for breakfast… Mushrooms, hashbrowns, egg were cold, sausage was slightly warm still and beans were hot. When I asked for 2 poached eggs I was told they’ve been done and are on under the heat lamp. Anyone who’s ever done a poached egg may know if you want a runny egg that’s not what you’ll get leaving them under a heat lamp. Check out I was never asked how my stay was as the lady was too busy telling another member of staff what to do

Great stay

We really enjoyed our stay and cannot fault the hotel at all. Lovely modern bedroom. The Garden bar was large with TV screens showing the news and football. If i have a piece of advice, it would be to be reminded that there is an extra cost to use the pool area. This is currently £20 per person for 2 hours. This has to be booked, you cant just walk in. Once you are aware of that, then there are no surprises. This is quite different than lots of hotels and can add quite a lot to your original room price. Saying that, the spa / pool area is really nice and includes a steam room, sauna, hammam

Not the usual standards of a Hilton hotel. Reception, meeting rooms and dining were lovely. However, our bedroom had seen better days. Will not be returning

We arrived and the staff was really rude and not at all friendly, we were promptly informed that our daughter could not use the pool as it’s part of the spa service and must be 16 and my daughter is a preteen they said she’s not allowed as there’s no lifeguard, I explained she’d be attended by myself and we would be quiet and respectful and just swim a few lengths, she said absolutely not and made us feel unwelcome, my daughter was very upset so we headed to the room, my daughter said she felt treated less than human and didn’t want to stay, so we left! I gifted the room to my sister in law who had also told me they were horrid and rude to her, and despite her booking full spa treatments were told it would be an extra £20 per person to use the pool! She cancelled the treatments and we’ve both vowed to never go back which is a shame as we’ve done loads of spa days here but won’t be going back

Good standard all round - cold room no heating, great few hours in the spar - good evening good - waited 35 mins before requesting if we could order our food. Good value - could do much better - would stay again.

Don’t visit with kids. Not a child friendly hotel. Refused to bring a cake out for my son’s bday, couldn’t use the pool as under 16. Awful checkin and no welcome cookies given to my children even though they were being handed to other guests. Uncomfortable stay due to light coming through door all night which lit up my room. Wrong remote for tv in my room so tv wouldn’t turn on, had to call reception and my phone was disconnected, had to go to reception to wait and then finally seen by the manager who switched the remote. No conditioner in the shower, empty bottle which is no use to anyone. rude staff who did nothing when I complained except challenge me on my feelings towards the stay. Emailed the manager had no response back
