We stayed either side of flights to Dublin parking our car on site for 9 days. It is easy to catch flights using the next for Pod parking service getting the code for the gat between the Thistle to the Pod at check-in at the Hotel. The staff are very helpful and there are lots of ground floor rooms. However you may have a long walk to the King Deluxe rooms that are in the 200 range. 400 range rooms are nearer reception.

Always reliable, parking £18 per 24 hours, ten minutes to T5 via the pod (£8.25). Clean and comfortable rooms, if internally a bit tired. Deluxe rooms have Nespresso machines in though this year they have stopped the two bottles of water they used to give. Staff always friendly and helpful, departures board in the lobby which has recently been refreshed and looks good. Food in the aviator bar is tasty although priced as you would expect for an airport hotel. That said Maccies and the Shell garage are less than five minutes away, and you can pop over to premier inn if you fancy their breakfast instead. I stay here all the time and have never found a good reason to stay anywhere else. Accessible straight from the motorway there’s always parking, I can park up, get a code for the pod, pod it to t5, get through security and be at the gate or with a beer within 35 mins so realistically I know if I’m at thistle an hour and a quarter before scheduled take off I’m going to be fine. That only works for t5 though, obvs.

When we checked in there was water near the bed and smelled like it’s been sitting there awhile. Smell was like an old mop pail sitting out to long. We called front desk and they sent a worker who put a towel over the wet spot and left it like that. Our whole night the room smelled unpleasant. We asked for a shower mat as the tub was slippery and that took 4 phone phone calls before we got what we asked for.

The hotel is super convenient for travel to/ from Heathrow Terminal 5 using the Pods. Staff made us feel welcome on arrival. Check in was easy, using the self-serve machines, and staff were on hand to support if needed. The room was a good size for 2 twin beds and had useful facilities such as tea and coffee, a good-sized wardrobe and a hairdryer. There was plenty of room to put our suitcases safely to one side, not restricting access in the room. Our bathroom had not been properly cleaned and the used towels were still in the bath however this was promptly rectified after contacting reception.

The hoyel was a 6 minute public bus ride from Heathrow Terminal 5. Fantastic location to watch the planes tale off. It offered a delicious hot and continental breakfast. The room/bathroom was clean and appeared to be recently updated. The staff was friendly and helpful. I'd stop there again when flying from Ternimal 5. :0)

Staff were super welcoming on arrival, rooms were clean and the restaurant, while expensive, had great offerings and convenient food. Room was a bit dated, but it was clean, quiet and dark. Super easy to get to from LHR. I would easily stay again if flying in or out and needing a place to stay for a night.
