Residence Inn Cherating

Location-wise, no direct access to the beach. Have to depend on buggy service or drive out on your own. Reception - fast & helpful, basically because there is no crowd/customers. Quite an old hotel but the room is spacious, equipped with TV with limited channels (no remote control provided, which we had to ask for it), has a fridge, kettle, bottled water, iron, indoor slipper, hair dryer which does not function, toiletries (only shampoo, when we asked for bath gel they said they ran out of stock 😅), toothbrush, bath towel which looks shabby with towel threads coming out at the edges of the towel. The room has a balcony but the view is not that good. The entrance door to the room, i.e., the handle is damaged as we had difficulty and tried many times to swipe the card to get the handle to unlock the door. Tried calling the reception but it took some time for somebody to come and assist. Food - acceptable spread of breakfast but can be improved. The nasi lemak is not well cooked, condiments for congee are limited to only salt, black pepper, ginger. Overall, acceptable.

During breakfast, the porridge that was taken contained worms. It is possible that it came from one of the mixtures for the rice porridge. Please fix this situation. Other than that, everything was fine and excited to stay here for 2 nights. Also recommend to others for a vacation in Cherating.

I love very much. Cherating Inn! Will come back again In Shaa Allah. The room is so spacious for a big family like me. 8 persons, comfortable, and clean. Swimming pool is just in front of our room. Only food is just so so.

When we arrive, the staff is doing fogging for mosquito and poison for rat. So our room floor is wet. Room OK.

Due its Hari Raya, there seem to be less resources and only 1 front desk working (base on her 1 morning while another afternoon session). Reception is good and process is smooth. My second time to residence Inn after almost 10 years on my last visit. Hotel is a bit rundown whereby feel very pity to see as potential of this resort are not been 'expose' and more room to improve. All the neighbourhood hotel are continue join such as royale chulan, so really hope this hotel does put more effort to improve. Hotel air conditioner isn't function well and all of us experiencing hot overnight stay. Pool still the best for my kids since she first stay almost 10 years ago. Breakfast is fair since the stay isn't that much people but overall is acceptable, like other review, there is no eggs station whereby it 's an important part of the breakfast.

I would say this hotel is totally not recommended. The building is rather old and not properly maintained. When we entered our room, there was no towel prepared. Then when I wanted to use the room's phone to call to ask for towels, the phone line was broken so cannot be used. So I had to go to the receptionist counter and asked them for towels then they said they will send it to our room. I bought room with 2 queen beds so I expected 4 towels would be sent but you know what, they only sent 1! I was totally speechless. And the bathroom's wall is full with mold and cockroaches! Upon opening the bathroom's door, there were like 5-6 cockroaches of multiple sizes were there. I regretted spending 600+ to stay here. Would not come again.

Put it back on Tuesday. It's just a dirty corridor where laborers sleep. Breakfast is ok, Timul beach menu. It's like this hotel. Good pool.

Clean room, average breakfast, not many options

Confused with the picture of the room choice. Check in time for room upgrade plus another RM 100. Entering the room smells bad and the floor of the room is still wet. Sandy veranda and lots of dry leafy grass. 2 times call service did not come. Old room rocking bed. The pound coffee table swayed. Breakfast is bad, eating nasi lemak doesn't taste like nasi lemak, he doesn't have a choice, it's really bad and he won't come here again. Pay the room totaly close to rm 300 but the service & quality is beautiful again the hotel is rm 100. Not recommend

The hotel like motel … not good value for my money. The breakfast buffet not many choice.

The location is quite good and near from the beach. But the room have a lot of dusk not clean. We’ve open the AC and clean the filter by ourselves. The hotel also provides the complimentary Hair Dryer and Iron for 30 minutes used, but when we requested they said it will delivered to our room. Yet, until we checked out, we did not get the hair dryer. Despite for the facilities and cleanliness, hotel staff were friendly and warm.

Satisfied because I got a room on the Ground Floor ... comfortable room ... all the equipment is enough, the refrigerator works well..large swimming pool, happy kids..even breakfast is ok..although not many options ... may have many options for breakfast.

The swimming pool is quite beautiful and suitable for children. Parents can keep an eye on the children while relaxing and relaxing.

The atmosphere of the room is cozy, comfortable and clean. Delicious and delicious food. I plan to bring a family member here.

I got one room at first then call reception and then room y booking ... big & cozy ... close to cherating beach to just 15 minutes away
