Subang Airport, officially Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (SZB), is Kuala Lumpur's second airport. It lies in Subang, in the Petaling district of Selangor, west of central Kuala Lumpur, roughly 17 km from KL Tower as the crow flies. Passengers use one building, the Skypark Terminal, which handles both domestic and international flights, with customs and immigration on site. The airport is run by Malaysia Airports.
Before KLIA opened in Sepang, Subang was Kuala Lumpur's main international airport. Today Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL), with KLIA Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, is the city's main airport, and Subang is the smaller airport inside Greater Kuala Lumpur. The shuttle between them takes about an hour, so always check which one your ticket names. This guide covers the Skypark Terminal, its opening hours, how to get there by bus, shuttle or taxi, and how to use the flight schedule on this page.
All passenger flights at Subang Airport use the Skypark Terminal, for both domestic and international routes. International passengers clear customs and immigration in the same building, so there is no second terminal to look for.
Services at Subang have changed a great deal in recent times. The flight schedule tables further down this page show which airlines have upcoming flights, and your e-ticket names the airline operating yours.
According to Malaysia's aviation authority, the Skypark Terminal building opens from 05:00 until midnight local time. Scheduled commercial jet flights may only operate between 06:00 and 22:00, so there are no late-night jet departures from Subang. If you have an early departure, plan your journey around the 05:00 opening.
Subang sits inside Greater Kuala Lumpur, and public buses link it with the city's rail network. There is no direct rail link to the terminal itself. Journey times depend heavily on traffic, and fares are shown on the bus or in the app.
Rapid KL bus 772 runs between Pasar Seni and Subang Suria by way of the airport, from a stop on the road by the terminal. It connects with the LRT Kelana Jaya line at Ara Damansara and Asia Jaya. The full ride to Pasar Seni takes about 50 minutes, depending on traffic.
Feeder bus T804 links the airport with Kwasa Sentral station on the MRT Kajang line. It stops by the airport and suits travellers heading along the MRT corridor.
An airport shuttle bus runs from the Skypark Terminal to KLIA Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. The trip takes about an hour, more in heavy traffic, which helps if you have one flight at each airport. Leave plenty of slack for a connection like that.
Taxis and e-hailing cars pick up at the terminal. They take you straight to your address, which helps with luggage, and an e-hailing app shows the fare before you book.
Follow your airline's check-in and bag-drop cut-off, which is shown on your booking. Remember that the terminal opens at 05:00, and allow for the morning traffic around Subang.
On an international flight you go through immigration in the Skypark Terminal before boarding. Entry requirements for your destination, and for Malaysia when you return, are set by each government, so check the official guidance for your passport. The fare cards on this page show fares from Subang to the routes on sale. You will also find schedule tables for Subang Airport, listing the next flights by date with their airline and scheduled departure and arrival times. They show a selection of flights, not every service, so use them as a starting point.
