How to Get There

Getting to Guangzhou is as simple as taking a direct flight from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) or Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (klia2). There are direct flights available with airlines such as AirAsia, Malaysian Airlines (MAS), Scoot, and even Singapore Airlines. An entire direct flight takes approximately 4 hours.

Public Transportation Available

The public transportation in Guangzhou is efficient and there are many methods to take. The large metropolis’ most common and largest public transportation system is its metro system. There is a total of 15 different lines that connect the city. If you are looking to be at the tourist-popular locations, the common liens are lines 1, 2, 3, and 5. Aside from the metro, taxis and buses are other means of travelling within the cities.

If you are travelling longer distances across Guangzhou, the railway lines are a more popular and convenient way of travelling. You can take these long-distance railways to travel to places such as Hong Kong and Shenzhen. Take the bullet train if you want to get to other places faster.

Tourist Attractions

Canton Tower

This tower breaks the Guangzhou skyline with its height of 600 metres. Observation decks with an amazing view of the city takes its upper levels and is populated with post restaurants, rides, and coffee shops. Excellent for taking in the city over a food and beverage.

Shamian Island

Take a short getaway to this beautiful little town if you are getting a bit flustered by the busy city. This island has a strong history in trading with foreign nations, which explains its European-influenced architecture. You can spend hours walking through its beautiful small gardens and walkways.

Temple of the Six Banyan Trees

Behold your eyes of this amazing temple. The Temple of The Six Banyan Trees is quite possibly one of the most iconic temples ever. This Buddhist temple is situated in Zhong Shan Liu Lu and was built in the year of 537! That is over a thousand years ago. It was originally commissioned to be built by Emperor Wu and has since withstood the test of time to be a historic monument.
