Location was excellent for sight-seeing. There is no parking so be prepared to walk to the parking garage at the shopping mall which is about a 15 minute walk. It was hot when we were there and we were not really prepared for that. But overall, we loved the hotel and our stay in Oxford.

We stay here for concert across the street New Oxford Theater 50 feet away. Great location for food covered market & train Pay parking is close by $50 a day so much to do in Oxford Great place take the wife

Perfectly okay city centre hotel - good location, comfy bed, helpful staff, but...poor maintenance. One bedside light did not work, the light around makeup mirror did not work. Hotels do not seem to look after their equipment very well these days.

The air-conditioning was essential and wonderful since the temperatures were a historic high when we were there. It would have been nice to have some hand lotion. None in the amenities.

Hotel doesn't look impressive from outside. The window on ground floor is boarded up, reception is on first floor very small area The hotel is very nice inside, rooms are nicely decorated , the bathroom has a lovely sink and rainfall shower. Plenty of tea, coffee, nice biscuits. The reception service is below standards for a decent hotel. Staff not very good at dealing with customers . After my four night stay, apparently I hadn't stayed there! and was supposed to be checking in after my checkout. Very shoddy and disorganised customer service . Find a hotel with a nice restaurant is my recommendation, though I did know about absence of restaurant before booking.

Staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was lovely and quiet. When we returned from touring Oxford on foot around 4:30 PM, we were hoping to relax and take a short nap before our evening reservations. Unfortunately, our room had not been cleaned, even though we left a hang tag saying “ clean the room”. It appears they were short on personnel that day, and had fallen way behind; another couple came in around 5 PM to find their room untouched like ours. By that time our room was being cleaned, and we were sitting in the hall on temporary chairs (the hotel has no lounge and only one seat in the tiny lobby). Difficulties do arise, but for £300 a night for a decent but unspectacular hotel room, we expect better.

Excellent stay. Clean comfortable rooms. Spacious for European hotels. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Even gave us water on a hot day! In the centre of town walkable to all sights, restaurants, etc. On a busy road with restaurants etc but worth the stay.

I was visiting during a really busy time in Oxford, so my room was street facing and I could hear some noise from the street outside, but that's to be expected in this area. Found hair (not mine!) each day from what I assume was the cleaners in the bathroom, left over rubbish from prior guests (glasses case, scrunchies, eye drop solutions) in nooks/ crevices that weren’t even hard to reach. Seems as if they think their location is the only thing they need to keep guests satisfied.
