Great location and I was concerned about the noise, but it was actually really quiet. Very clean and well maintained. There was not any food at the hotel, but it is really conveniently located so getting food was easy. My only complaint was that there was not a security bolt/lock on the bedroom door, which was a concern to me as a lone traveler.

When I walked into the property, I was slightly concerned, as the reception is not on the ground floor but up a flight of stairs. The building is somewhat 'dated'. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the room, which was large and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. I stayed on a Friday night, and there was quite a lot of noise from people outside in the early hours of the morning

Perfect location for the city centre and colleges, but no facilities, food, bar etc. Room was perfectly clean and en suite was nice, but small and with old fashioned furnishings. Instant tea and coffee in room, but minimalist. Air con didnt work, too warm and room very noisy from street with window open Perfectly adequate for an overnight stay, but oversold

Very convenient for city centre, though it should be noted that this is room only, no breakfast or bar. Friendly and attentive staff at reception. Room and corridors clean and tidy. AC in room not very effective, cold on entry, and changing to heating mode didn’t seem to make much difference. Bathroom basin cracked and bedside wall lights not working. This was marketed as as premium room, with balcony and views, and paid a premium price but, other than the convenience, I didn’t think it offered value for money

The Hotel was AWFUL. THIS IS NOT a five star hotel. It is at best 2.5 stars and Hotels.com needs to remove it from its website. The lift was not working. There was no staff to carry our suitcases four floor. We checked out the next day and even though we lost all the money GBP 3,000, we checked into Randolph which is a genuine 5 star hotel. This hotel is not what it claims and not what Hotels.com has portrayed on their website.
