pur 4 visit. the location amazing, the rooms quirky and oddly shaped. elevator tiny, this is a wonderful old hotel with all that that implies, if you're used to a Las Vegas style suite, this is not that. but the afternoon cream tea included in the fare is a lovely touch. t

I am at a loss to understand why this hotel is so expensive. It has no bar, no services to speak of, not even any ironing boards in the rooms.
The worst thing for me was the absolutely abysmal state of the water pressure. Showering was an awkward soul-destroying affair.
The corridors themselves felt like I needed Richard O’Brien excitedly leading the way through the warren of narrow passages.
A disappointing stay in an upmarket area of London.
There are better hotels on the same street.

Rooms are in need of renovations, the bed in my room had seen better days as the springs had obviously collapsed. Water pressure low in shower etc. However staff were efficient and very pleasant. Room was clean and hotel is very convenient.
