I had a fantastic stay at Hotel L’Ill in Strasbourg! The service was outstanding—every staff member was warm, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile. The location is perfect, tucked away in a quiet spot but still just a short walk from the heart of the old town and all the main sights. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise, with a variety of fresh and tasty options to start the day right. The entire hotel was clean and comfortable, and I felt very well looked after throughout my stay. Highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Strasbourg—great value, wonderful people, and an unbeatable location.

This was a great hotel with friendly staff. Our triple room was clean and floor plan was practical with shower area and bathroom being separate. Breakfast spread was great with fresh bread and yummy croissants every day. There was a paid parking closeby so it was good to leave the car and walk everywhere. Cathedral and Petite France were only 10 minute walk. Will stay here again if we travel to Strasbourg.

Breakfast spread was great with fresh bread and yummy croissants every day. There was a paid parking closeby so it was good to leave the car and walk everywhere. Cathedral and Petite France were only 10 minute walk. Will stay here again if we travel to Strasbourg.

L’Hotel de L’Ill is exceptional value for the price. It’s very close to most places you may wish to visit in Strasbourg. It’s location is less than a minute from the river and the promenade which runs along this side of the river. The staff are friendly and welcoming and will try to accommodate you as far as it is reasonably possible. We would strongly recommend this hotel.

Very friendly family run establishment. 5 minutes away from the cathedral, meters away from the quai des Bateliers. The staff was very kind and accomodating. I would stay there again in the future rather than at bigger hotel chains.

Very friendly staff. Helpful. Everything was extremely clean and the hoteliers followed all COVID prevention measures. Our room was small but comfortable. The hotel is in a nice, quiet location close to many restaurants and about 3 minute walk from a parking garage (about €20/night) and 5-7 minute walk from the cathedral.

This hotel was great overall! The staff was really friendly, personable, and were able to communicate at ease in French, English and German. The rooms were a bit small (which is typical in French hotels), but very cozy and clean. The area the hotel is in is also very close to a bus stop, a 5 minute walk from a tram stop, and a 15-20 minute walk from some of the major attractions in Strasbourg. As a solo traveller, I felt safe, looked after, and cared for staying here. I would definitely recommend it and come back again!

Very pleasant and helpful staff member on reception. Our room came with a very nice balcony. Beds were pretty comfy, air condition was good. The bathroom was spacious although the shower wasn't great, you had to hold it with one hand and there was no screen/curtain so the floor got quite wet. Also, we booked 3 singles but were given a double and a single which was a bit of a shame.

The personnel went out of their way to help us when the taxi strike caused us unforeseen trouble. Excellent service. The room was nice but the bathroom was not very private, what with the unlockable glass door and windows opening to the shared terrace. No dealbreaker though.
