About

Bukit Tinggi is a small town in Bentong, Pahang. It is located close to Genting Highlands, and can be reached within 60 minutes riding northeast from the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

As reflected in its name, Bukit Tinggi is a highland close to Titiwangsa Mountains. This explains its cool temperature that ranges from 24 to 32 degrees Celsius.

Surrounded by the rainforest in Bukit Tinggi area is a resort called Bukit Tinggi Resort. This refreshing resort offers a number of interesting activities befitting visitors of any ages. Though the name has changed to Berjaya Hills, many still recognise this resort by its previous name Bukit Tinggi Resort.

How to Get There

There are several ways to reach Bukit Tinggi, Malaysia:

By Plane

You can go by airplane which will land at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL), then continue by land transportation such as car for around two hours.

By Taxi

Four taxi services are provided, with choices of vehicles to accommodate from three to eight people. You are required to buy the coupon at the airport before hiring the taxi service.

By Bus

There are buses (Bas Persiaran) serving direct rides to Bukit Tinggi, which depart from Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur. Bus departs three times a day on 10:00 AM, 01:00 PM, and 03:00 PM. The ride from Berjaya Times Square to Bukit Tinggi takes about 1,5 hours.

By Taxi

There are four categories of taxi varying on the tariff and types of cars operating in Malaysia. The tariff depends on duration time and distance.

Colmar Tropicale

Colmar Tropicale is a resort in Bukit Tinggi area that resembles Colmar village in France in 16th century. At Colmar Tropicale, you can view many buildings with European architectural style.

Japanese Village is located in the Bukit Tinggi Resort area. It is a park with traditional Japanese building designed by Japanese architect, Kaio Ariizumi.

Some interesting spots in Japanese Village are Japanese Tea House, Tatami Spa, Botanical Garden, restaurants, and rooms to stay in. You may also get a chance to wear kimono (Japanese traditional attire) that is available for rent. Japanese Village is open for visit every day from 11:00 AM to 04:30 PM.

Mini Animal Park

Animal lovers would like to visit Mini Animal Park in Bukit Tinggi Resort. It is a roaming place for more than 200 rabbits you can play with in Rabbit Park area, and there are spotted deer from Netherlands as well as Timorensis deer from Indonesia. Children can tour around by riding donkey or watching parrots.

The facilities inside Mini Animal Park include kids’ playground, restrooms, also food and beverages stalls.
