Room was satisfying but the parking was limited and we needed to park far from resort. Its tiring to walk from parking to room.
4.8
Rooms was very dirty, esp the bed sheet. Even after requesting for a new bed sheet (old had stain, very very disgusting), the worker only changed for 1 bed and not both, and did not bother to change the duvet.
6.2
Breakfast not commensurate with the price.
6.3
Insects in room, air-conditioning really noisy

I like the stay in Avillion. Not to forget the small farm that they have. my kid enjoyed it so much.
8.5
Hotel surroundings and landscape were great but rooms need some repairs especially on the wooden decks and guardrail, and also the toilet doesn't flush properly. Beds were comfortable and huge. Do be careful of the sand flies though, when visiting the beach.
8.8
The staff is very helpful and understanding. They can arrange chalet which is near to the restaurant for my parent.
8.5
It is generally a pleasant stay from check in to check out. My child enjoyed the pool and petting zoo sessions. However, I noticed that some of the railings at the water chalet have rusted or broken and with fair amount of push, some might fall down and hurt themselves. I did try to push it to gauge my child’s safety as she was running around with her cousins at the walkaway and balcony. I also received a room with a clogged bath tub, so Mommy’s relaxing session after putting my child to sleep had to be cancelled. Apart from the above, I guess I had a pleasant stay.
9.4
I complained about the balcony of the room and requested for change of room. The staff accommodated my request and gave me room upgrade to premium chalet with great ocean view. It made my day and enjoyed the stay at this hotel.
9.4

overcrowded, dirty, old
Facilities are OK with mini zoo, pool, gym ... very crowded on weekends. My wife and I find it dirty. Dusty room, stained towels, bed sheets, curtains. Not to mention, noisy air-condition in the room. Bad/ No maintenance.

Rustic water chalet
Stayed at the water chalet. Place felt very rustic and the wooden deck of the board walk leading to the chalets looked like it was time for replacement. Interior of the room felt very cosy. Good for a short getaway trip.

Just got back from a short weekend getaway a.k.a. honeymoon with my wife. This time, we’ve decided to stay at Avillion Port Dickson, booked ‘Premium Water Chalet’ through Booking.com. Arrived at 4:30 pm (check in started at 3:00) after one and a half hour drive from Kuala Lumpur. Their staffs were very friendly and helpful, but I chose to carry the bags myself as we only bring small cabin-sized luggage (those 4 kids were left with wife’s niece, it’s a honeymoon!). Lobby is at level 3 while our chalet located at around 5 minutes walk from main building, at level 1. There’s only 1 small elevator to get to level 1 (Wonder what it’s like when a lot of guest checking out at noon, as we were told that the all the rooms were fully booked, not just that particular weekend but every weekend. What a business!). From the elevator at level 1 to the pathway to the chalet, there’s a few stairs which I think might cause a little problem if you carry a huge luggage. Hope the management could build a ramp which would be very helpful especially for the wheelchair-bound. (I don’t know if there’s another way that I didn’t knew). Upon getting a copy of small map during check in, I have a feeling it’s going to be sweaty to get to our cabin. Turns out, it didn’t really bother us much as we’re enjoying the scenery all the way to the cabin. From the building, we were greeted with a small plaque with some kind of poem about Avillion, and then a bullock cart replica (I think I forgot to mentioned that this resort’s theme is an old Malay fisherman’s village). Going further, there’s a small animal farm where you could see rabbits, tortoises, peacocks and chickens (the peacocks were allowed to roam around the resort area near the animal farm, but they will run when you get too close though, sigh). Then we passed an adult only pool (there is another pool next to main building which also has pool for kids right next to it). Our cabin were located at the Cochin wing, sea view (there’s a few wings though, Rangoon and Acheh to name a few). In the cabin, it wasn’t like what I expected earlier (was expecting a bigger sized cabin but it’s ok). The unique part is this is the first time I had a room with a daybed (and it’s right next to the window with a full unobstructed view of Straits of Malacca, there you have it). They also have a huge open air bathroom with a jacuzzi. Heaven! We’re given two complimentary pass for an evening tea at the Avi Lounge, just a few steps from our cabin. This is where you can find the popular verandah seen at websites and blogs. Sadly we didn’t get a chance to take a photo there as it’s full most of the evening. Stayed there for 3 days 2 nights, we only went out on day 2 to find a local food for lunch. Most of our time were spent around the premise (there’s a lot of activity to be done here I can assure you). Summary, this is one of the best place we’ve stayed for our honeymoon. Wish we could come again, as we find our stay enjoyable and memorable and will bring the kids along next time, as we know they’ll enjoy it too (there’s a few facility for kids but I can’t tell you much as we didn’t bring the kids this time).

Lovely Water Chalets
This was our second time visiting Avillion and perhaps 6 years since our last one. Whilst our premium water Chalet was nice it didn't look as though any upgrades had been done during that time. We stayed for 3 nights and due to a malfunction with our aircon we were upgraded FOC to a 2 bedroom suite (which I would highly recommend!!) It was a nice trip overall but there needs to be some improvement around the service out in the pool area. We had to seek out staff to take our food/drink orders despite there being an apparent 'drinks' bar it was never staffed. After having to fetch a staff member each time our drinks would sometimes take up to 20+ minutes to arrive. There was a bell on the tree to ring for service but this was broken on our first day and no alternative option was put in its place. I enjoy the peacocks roaming around but there should be someone who hoses down the area in the morning as they make quite a mess on the pool deck and with kids in bare feet its not a fun combination. Overall a nice resort. Just don't plan to venture out beyond the resort as there is limited places to eat.
