The place is amazing. The room is like a chalet with balcony. My friends and I can't believe we paid such a small amount for a great service and room. The reception is such a nice guy. It's also located near Kinabalu Park. They provide water heater, instant coffee, mugs. Love the place. Definitely recommended.

Great location very close to Kinabalu Park entrance, clean room with great view, friendly staffs, the major downside is that you need to descent long way to the rooms, taxi didn't want to take us when it's raining because they're afraid their cars can't go up. Meanwhile they don't serve foods, so you need to walk up and down to find foods after tiring days of hiking. But overall a very great relaxing place, would definitely recommend it!
It’s cold. Heater no function.
Please upgrade wireless. Thanks.
Good ambience and environment. Fresh cold air at night to calm our daily hectic days
Beautiful scenery, friendly staff and steepy road. Please make sure your tire is in good condition
Hill too steep, hard for vehicle to climb.
Good for short weekend getaway. Serene and awesome for a nature lover. This mean you don't mind with bugs especially during night time. Me myself spotted 1 leech at our washroom during shower! Room maintained clean. But towel spotted with orange stained. No meal provided so I don't give any rating. WiFi works fine and please bring your dvd if you want entertainment as they don't have any TV channel, just dvd player. Water heater ok, spacious washroom. their pillow to thin for my liking. Stayed at house 1.
Surrounding is ok. If you come with large family and wish to book for 2 rooms, please take for example 5A and 5B. My case I took 5B and 6 (as I thought logically 5 and 6 is located near to each other. I was wrong. and turn out room 6 being left vacant cause we cant stand to stay in that room due to paint smell). Don't bother to ask for room change or refund as it is not able to fulfill. Good thing is, the room is big and comfortable, staffs were fine, scenery was ok. For water heater, you need to open it super slow so that the water come out warm. If you want to book, choose room 5 (preferred B). Oh you can BBQ as well. May check with the staff.

I stayed one night in this hotel. Nice view from the room. Clean room, comfort to rest and relaxing, and very good service. The road leading to this place is challenging. 5 minute walk from the Kinabalu Park.

Close to nature and Kinabalu Park
This is a good alternative to staying within Kinabalu Park as it is only 10 minutes walk to the Park entrance. We stayed at House 1 which is a standalone unit tucked away on the hillside and has lots of privacy. We could hear the birds and insects. It rained heavily throughout the night we were there. The rain pelted down and made a lot of noise on the zinc roof. If you are a light sleeper, you would have been kept awake. The room has only basic amenities. They provide a pair of slippers for the bathroom but do bring your own if you do not want to walk on the cold floor in the room. There are 2 eateries within walking distance so you do not have to worry about food. Overall, it was a pleasant experience for us.

A weekend getaway
Stayed for one night (wish we could stay more) due to high occupancy during the school holiday. The place is not big but it is so private which we like it. The reception area and the rooms are not close to each other and the rooms do not equip with a phone. There is a common kitchen/dining area near to our room. A gas stove is prepared if guests would like to cook for their own. If you plan to have a barbecue, there is a barbecue pit for your convenience. Hotel staffs are very helpful. Just raise your concern and they will try to help you. It is highly recommended for families, couples, and friends Tips: Bring extra slippers since the floor is cold at night. Bring your own charcoal if you plan to have a barbecue. There is no fridge inside the room just in case you're wondering. There are no cooking materials. Bring your own.

Best experience
Loving this place where we can get intimate with nature. It was clean and the weather there is really cold. Remember to bring extra jacket and long pants to wrap yourself up. They provide stove as well so you can buy some cup noodles and some snacks which is awesome for gathering and chit chat at night. Having a hot cup noodle in the cold weather is really nice!

Simple One Stay before The Big Climb
We stayed here the night before our 2D1N climb of Mount Kinabalu. We arrived late afternoon and was checked in by a very helpful young man with little English. The room was huge, clean and came with a bathroom/shower. There were of course bugs and moths around but this is pretty much unavoidable given its location. As there is very little to do in the evenings, we were provided with a selection of 3 dvds to watch which was a pleasant surprise. We relaxed to Jurassic World and Deadpool before our climb! In the evening we walked past the Mount Kinabalu Park entrance and continued to Station 89 restaurant for some amazing food. We were provided with umbrellas as it was tipping it down. Overall we would definitely recommend this as a place to stay and acclimatize the night before climbing Mount Kinabalu.
