Established in 1962, the Kundasang War Memorial is the first ever memorials to commemorate the brave Australian and British Prisoners of War who died in Sandakan during the infamous death marches to Ranau during World War II. It also remembers the people of North Borneo who risked their lives to help the Prisoners of Wars. The Memorial is made up of four beautiful gardens - the Australian Garden, the English Garden, the Borneo Garden and the Contemplation Garden and Pool - to represent the different nationalities.
Located in the foothill of Mount Kinabalu, Desa Cattle Dairy Farm offers one of the most amazing scenery one could ever view. It overlooks the majestic Mount Kinabalu with beautiful green pastures, not forgetting the cool breeze that Kundasang has to offer. The real attraction here is the cattle farm, producing about 900,00 liters of milk per year. Mountain Torq Via Ferrata is a mountain ‘trail’ made up of iron rungs, palettes (footholdsd), cables and rails that are wrapped around the North Face of Mount Kinabalu. Mountain Torq Via Ferrata starts at Mount Kinabalu Panar Laban Rock Face (approximately 3,300 meters) and reaches its highest point at 3,800 meters.
