This state mosque of Johore is located along Jalan Skudai and situated on a hill, with a bird eye’s view of the Straits of Johore. It was completed in the year 1900. The architecture is quite unique with a mix of two distinguishable styles which are Victorian and Moorish with a little influence of Malay style. Even though the main purpose of this mosque is to cater Muslim praying rituals, non- Muslims are allowed to enter this mosque for visiting purpose. However, as a sign of respect, decent and modest clothing must be worn. Besides that, visitors must remove their shoes before entering the mosque.
The temple is situated next to the railway station tracks in between Jalan Tun Abdul Razak and Jalan Mohd Taib, located along Jalan Tebrau.
