Smarthotel Tromso

Room was clean. Breakfast was plentiful. Small issue with TV not working but only because I wanted something going on in the background so not really a problem but regular channel was disabled. Otherwise sufficient for my needs and convenient location to downtown Tromso

The bathroom had strong water pressure and a stable water temperature, and the front desk staff were very kind. However, there were several stains on the bed sheets. Also, although the “Do Not Disturb” sign was displayed, the door was still opened, which was a bit surprising

The room is clean, basic and very small. Hanging space is 3 hangers on a hook on the wall….not ideal when you need full winter gear for temperatures below freezing.

Expensive for what you get but that probably reflects the high season and remote location. Great shower pressure, good location

Tiny room at high price. Decor a bit more industrial than I would have liked! Not sure what demographic you are aiming your hotel at?

Checked in and we went up to our room and immediately turned around to head back to the service desk. A coffin would have more space for two people than our room. Our 2 suitcases would not even be able to be owned in our room. Didn’t even have a chance to see the bathroom as we immediately turned around to go back to the desk to cancel our stay. The front desk was helpful.

Loved the location. It was close enough to walk everywhere and removed enough to not have any noise. Staff was extremely helpful with lots of suggestions.

Great location and quiet

We stayed here for 2 nights,just needing a place to sleep and this was ideal. We had a small double room,which was really just ok for sleeping in,but the bar downstairs was nice,plenty of room there. The breakfast buffet served anything you could ever want for breakfast,fruit,cold meats,cooked breakfast,bread etc, and a nice variety of drinks. If you need a reasonably priced place to stay in Tromso for a few days,I would recommend this place.

Ask for soap bc ours wasnt filled they never stopped by. Room had 2 dirty tissues.tuckerd by the window along the bed. The staff wasn't helpful or engaged and the room wasn't comfortable (in addition to dirty) only good for a cheap stay. Location was the best perk for walking convenience

A means to an end. Don’t waste your money on the breakfast ~£17 per person, just pop round the corner to the local Extra.

It was fine. Parking is an inconvenience (I say that knowing I sound like a brat). There is public pair The space is clean and very basic.

Good proximity to everything

Excellent customer service! I was able to check-in early with no issues at all. Thanks for accommodating me! Perfect location to anything and everything in Tromso as well.

The room was comfortable and clean - very warm and cosy. The bed is quite soft and they gave me two pillows - one normal and one massive - which actually made sitting up and reading in bed very comfy. The duvet was quite thick for the summer, but that might just be me.The windows do a really good job of blocking out noise from the outside. I had a single room with its own bathroom - there was ample space for me. Yes, the towel rail is over the loo, but the rooms are compact so I am not really sure where else they would put them. My only complaint about the room is the lack of space for me to put my clothes. As I was staying for a week, I wanted to unpack and had to just stack all my stuff on the desk in the room provided. Not a huge hassle, just a thing. Certainly not severe enough to reduce the stars. Breakfast was good. Lots of variety, really nice fresh bread, and the staff were good at keeping everything topped up. For me though, the best thing was the location. It's really central with everything you need within a five/ten minute walk. I have read some of the comments about the lack of tea/coffee facilities etc. but that is clear in the room description so I don't know what people were expecting. Overall, I was really happy with my stay and would definitely use them again.
