Waldorf Astoria Panama

An exceptional hotel with an unbeatable location. The staff went above and beyond to ensure a flawless stay. Our room was wonderfully spacious and featured breathtaking, unobstructed panoramic views of the city skyline

Place is nice enough- it is a Waldorf Astoria and at least makes an attempt to live up to the brand reputation. However, I stayed there when it was pretty new maybe 10 years ago and they definitely have let it go a bit. Also staff wasn’t always the most helpful and the amenities were lackluster for a hotel in the Waldorf Astoria family.

The bathroom could use more light. I found it a bit difficult to get ready with makeup. Nice staff. Very clean. Everything was wonderful.

Un poco decepcionado del waldorf la verdad, todo se ve muy antiguo, muebles, facilidades, cuarto, lobby, restaurante. Digamos que uno se siento en un hilton de media gama y bo en la marca mas prestigiosa de hilton. Obviamente es muy barrato comparado con los waldor astoria de otras partes pero ahora entiendo porque. Cuando llgamos nos dicen ya su cuarto esta listo, solo lo instan inspeccionando, entonces uno se emociona porque cree que va a poder irse a cambiar y todo pero despues le dicen que aprox una hora o hora y media. Entonces uno se decepciona. Me hubieran dicho de una ves que estara listo en 1 hora y todo bien pero pensar que ya estaba. Mi esposa pidio una amenidad para nuestro anniversario con una carta personalizada de ella, y pusieron la amenidad pero solo la carta de ellos entonces pense que era un gesto del hotel y mi esposa se decepciono toda. El primer dia no nos hicieron turn down. Nada grave pero nada especial. Me omagino que si vas en business esta bien.

we stayed four nights and everything was to our expectation. Clean room nice staff. Only the city view was having an other building right in front of our window.

I spent a couple nights at this property the week of US Thanksgiving. I wanted/thought I would be more "wow'd" as a first timer at a Waldorf property. This property came highly recommended within a traveler group though I found it to be not so stand-out'ish as I'd heard Waldorf properties are supposed to be. Overall I was underwhelmed. On the upside, the price per night wasn't horrible and a had a room with a sorta sliver of a view out to the Pacific. The room was comfortable and clean. The bed and pillows all comfy. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly, plus able to combine my different bookings into one so I wouldn't have to change rooms. Appreciate that! The restaurant breakfast buffet was good. Some of the baked items were a little on the tasting mass produced side (ie hard or flavorless) but overall a great selection and variety of eats to choose from. Room Service was friendly, fast and the food was good too. Good portion sizes, by US standards :). Overall it was a good stay. Maybe a different Waldorf property will leave me with that Waldorf "wow" I hoped to have at this property.

Excellent hotel, staff, and re

The hotel was wonderful. The entire hotel was clean, staff welcoming especially security employee Flash. The breakfast buffet was great and it was so nice that Divney the receptionist remembered our names each day. My overall stay was great and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Panama.

Was not one of my better stays there. Pillows and linen needed addressing. The kids running and shouting in the room next door was annoyance level 9 out of 10 especially after trying to rest after a very long layover flight. Staff did their best by changing both pillows and room. Having stayed there several times over last few years may look at my options.

It was difficult to get the staff to clean our room daily

Staff were excellent, room was clean, pool area was great.
