Very strategic location in Myeongdong area. From Incheon take bus 6015/6001 get off at Myeongdong St walk only 50 meters. If you take the subway exit 10 directly in front of the hotel lobby. Walk 100 meters to the Myeongdong night market and across the hotel there is Daiso. Deluxe twin room has 1 queen bed and 1 single bed. The room is spacious and can accommodate 3 large suitcases

I read a lot of posts on platforms before booking and was very satisfied with my 3 nights at Sejong. Very convenient location. Exiting Myeongdong Station is the hotel door, the bus stop is right next to it, the night market is a few minutes away, this area is convenient for eating, shopping and doing anything. The minus point is that the hotel was built a long time ago so the design is not modern, but it is clean and larger than most rooms in the area, the price is also reasonable, the staff are friendly and provide quick support.

We’ve been a repeat guests for Sejong. Really appreciate the hotel’s cleanliness and amenities. The room was clean, even housekeeping did a good job when we requested for our bed to be made. The only thing that didn’t change is the worker’s union protest, that seems on-going even before covid. Fortunately, they didn’t bother hotel guests but get a bit crowded when the protest at the lobby though.

Sejong Hotel has lots to improve. 1) We stayed at a bigger twin room facing Namsan Tower. But what we didn't know is that it's also facing the road hence the traffic can be very noisy. Not for light sleepers. 2) There are daily worker strikes at the lobby and the entrance of hotel. The workers feel their dismissal during Covid was unfair hence they have been on strike to have their jobs back since then. I have to salute on their perseverance but aesthetically, not something you'd like to be welcomed every day. They start their campaign early morning and again, not for the light sleepers. 3) The hotel is located near the airport limo but as we had many times stayed in hotel located within Myeongdong shopping, we find the location a bit of a walk, especially after a day of sightseeing and shopping so choose what's important to you. 4) Room is big and dated. Expect some mold in bathroom. Bed and pillow too soft for comfort and gave us neck and back ache. You can open the window for ventilation but we called for help to do that as we're afraid the window might drop 11 storeys down. Housekeeping not entirely clean. Overall, Sejong Hotel is more like a big overpriced guesthouse. They might do better if they had employed more people.

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel overall. The property was clean, well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The location was extremely convenient, and the room itself was comfortable and spacious. The only real disappointments were the lack of air conditioning and the absence of a microwave in the room. The absence of air conditioning made the evenings a little uncomfortable, and a microwave would have been useful for quick reheating food. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel provided a great experience, and I would consider staying again - especially if these amenities are added in the future.

The showerhead was quite dirty, and the room decor felt old. They did clean the room everyday so at least that was bearable. We were shocked when we couldn’t enter the main door due to the protests outside. We realised that the protests had been happening for years after googling. But kudos to the working staff who had to manage all these and they apologized for what was happening with the protests. This was clearly a management issue with the hotel.

Breakfast? Is it included? Nobody mentioned it when we checked in. The hotel look and smells old, lots of people outside and rallying. It doesn’t look great outside. Been to better hotels. They need to refill the soap dish, hard to push it out. Good location. Very accessible. Close to everything - food, convenience stores, street market etc. They change towels and clean the room everyday.

The property is not the cleanest. Unjust fired employees from 4 years ago created a crowd and protesting with loud music right at the entrance of the hotel. Something sad and unexpected to see in South Korea. Rooms are cleaned every day and the property and rooms are outdated and smell old. The location is great however

On our first 1 hour, the toilet was not working and water was gushing from the bottom of the toilet. It wasn’t even from the top, toilet water was flowing on the whole bathroom floor! I complained to transfer us, but they said the engineer fixed the problem with the plunger so all is good for the house cleaning to clean the the floor the next morning. Unsanitary, not accommodating and I was hesitant to flush it afterwards, so we used the lobby bathroom instead. For the 4 star rating, I expected much better BASIC feature in a hotel room. A TOILET is basic, it reminded me of a horror movie but instead of blood, it’s toilet water flowing.

It was a good stay in almost all material ways save the semi permanent protest area with chairs tables and protest signs as a result of employee firings at the main entrance. One should be aware that there may be a large protest against the hotel taking place at the one and only pedestrian entrance to the hotel on a day of your stay (as was my case).
