We very much enjoyed our stay at Castle House Inn. We had a double private room with a shared communial bath which was perfect for us. The Inn is off of a road that doesn't get much traffic, centralized for walking all over Stolkholm, near the ferries and subway - we loved how accessible it was to all things! It was also a very peaceful place!

Overall good experience for the price. I did have to share a bathroom with other guests. For the price overall it was really good. I’d stay there again. Helpful and friendly staff.

This is my 2nd stay with Castle House. This is a charming well-maintained Gamla Stan multi-floor establishment. It is clean, quiet, and right next to the quay. Easy access to the trains, trams, buses and cabs. This was a 6 night stay and I enjoyed every day!

This is a nice stay, however, the windows are old and all street noise can be heard. The walls are thin, if you have a loud neighbor. It was also quite dusty. Not a bad stay, but keep noise in mind if staying here.
Also note there is a shower room, so you have to use a squeegee to dry the floor next to the toilet after showering.

Bad parking availability if you arrive with a car. Not in, but very near, Gamla Stan for walkability and shopping. TINY rooms. Our first night was with a shared bathroom that was large, multi-sex (Americans are not use to this!) that had numerous stalls, and we never had to wait in line. Our next two nights had a private bathroom which was nice but hardly any space to move or store luggage. Comfortable bed, but I had to climb over my husband to get to my side by the window.

Location was top drawer in the old town, easy to find as next to the st george and dragon statue, so can come from the river or through the streets which are great to walk. venue was nice and clean, room was sufficient. would have liked to have had toiletries in the bathroom else it fulfilled the needs.

This place is spooky; squeaky floors. snotty receptionist! Worst of all, no bathroom in your room, it’s a shared one with the shower room on the other side. So if you have to go in the middle of the night, you have to get out of your room to do so. There’s no coffeemaker oven a thermos for hot water so, good luck to those who want something warm in the morning. i will not recommend this hotel to anyone, sorry

Solo female traveller.. definitely do Stockholm! Stay at the castle house! Central to everything! 20 min walk from Arlanda express train, super easy! Walk into the old town by the water. Lovely meatballs place 500 yards walk xalled gastabud! The best ever! I would definitely stay here again. I fell in love with Stockholm.

Great budget hotel - clean, quiet, and pleasant to be in. Excellent location for easy access to public transit and walk to many attractions. I had a room with a shared bathroom and it was always clean and I never saw anyone else in passing. I would recommend!
